Email Copywriter
Worldwide
About Us Momentum Marketing is a fully managed email & SMS retention agency for DTC/ecommerce brands. We run end-to-end Klaviyo programs across 7+ active client accounts and back our work with a revenue attribution guarantee. Copy is the engine of everything we ship — we need a copywriter who converts, not one who decorates. The Role This is a long-term role with a clear path to a permanent position for the right person. You’ll write email copy across campaigns and lifecycle flows (welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandon, winback, sunset) for multiple DTC brands simultaneously. You’ll work from strategy briefs and a fixed campaign calendar — your job is to translate offers and strategy into copy that drives revenue. We’re scaling fast, and we want someone who grows with the agency, not a one-project freelancer. What You’ll Do • Write campaign and flow copy from strategy briefs: subject lines, preview text, headers, body copy, and CTAs • Write both designed emails (copy for Figma layouts) and plain-text emails • Review copy inside design files in Figma and fix weak lines directly — spot what’s flat, tighten it, ship it • Follow the campaign calendar and weekly brief packs; deliver on fixed review cycles without hand-holding • Adapt voice per brand — each client has a distinct tone, and your copy must be indistinguishable from the brand writing it themselves • Audit and improve underperforming copy: when a subject line or flow email misses benchmarks, diagnose and rewrite Requirements • Proven track record writing high-converting email copy — you must submit a portfolio with real results (open rates, CTR, revenue attribution, A/B test wins). No results, no interview. • Native-level English proficiency, written and spoken • Strong grasp of how brands operate: positioning, offers, voice, customer psychology across the lifecycle • Ability to follow strategy briefs precisely and translate offer mechanics into copy — we brief the strategy, you execute it • Fluency writing SLs, preview text, headers, and CTAs that earn the open and the click — you understand these carry most of the conversion weight • Working proficiency in Figma: reading design files, editing copy in layouts, collaborating with designers • Comfortable writing text-based/plain-text emails, not just designed templates • Experience with Klaviyo or similar ESPs (Attentive, Omnisend, Sendlane) preferred • Looking for a long-term commitment — not available-until-something-better-comes-along How We Work • Weekly rhythm: briefs delivered Fridays, design review Wednesdays, revisions Thursdays • You’ll work across multiple brands per week — volume and voice-switching are the job • Direct feedback culture. We correct fast and expect the same. • Start long-term contract → prove output quality and reliability → permanent position with expanded scope To Apply Send: (1) portfolio with performance data, (2) three subject lines for a hypothetical 20%-off winback email for a premium sauna brand, (3) your rate. Applications without all three will not be reviewed.
