Embedded SDK & Firmware Developer – I²C / MCU Integration

We are looking for an experienced embedded software developer to review and improve the SDK for our sensor products. We already have working firmware, communication protocols, documentation and example code. The objective is not to build everything from scratch, but to make the SDK more robust, structured and easy for third-party engineers to integrate into their products. The initial project will focus on improving our existing I²C-based SDK and MCU integration. Responsibilities may include: Review the existing SDK architecture and API Improve I²C communication implementation and error handling Simplify integration for different MCU platforms Improve C/C++ example code Improve API naming, structure and documentation Add validation, error handling and useful debugging information Develop or improve test procedures and QA Organise the SDK into a professional GitHub-ready structure We are particularly interested in developers with experience creating customer-facing SDKs for embedded hardware or semiconductor products, rather than only internal firmware development. An NDA will be required before access to proprietary technical information. This may become an ongoing engagement. We have several sensor products with existing SDKs, firmware and GUI tools that we plan to continuously improve.
