Engineer for Local-Services Marketplace

We're building a marketplace for local services: someone posts a job, local providers send offers, and they book and pay in one place. The front end is live. What's missing is everything that makes it a real marketplace: providers can't sign up, nobody can be verified, and there are no reviews, messages, notifications or payments. A booking can be created but never cancelled or refunded. We want one engineer to own the architecture and build. WHAT YOU'D BUILD - Provider accounts: sign-up, profiles, availability, searchable directory - Verification we can stand behind: ID and trade licence, with expiry - The full booking lifecycle: cancellations, refunds, no-shows, disputes - Payments: money held when a job is accepted, released when it's done, refunded when it isn't, with a clear fee for both sides - Messaging, reviews, email/SMS updates - Safety: reporting, blocking, and tools to act on complaints - Tests on anything that touches money React/TypeScript, Postgres, Stripe. We've run three rounds of QA ourselves; the findings come with the brief. WHO WE WANT You've built a marketplace where money moved between two users, and run Stripe Connect in production.
