English Written Language Expert

Overview: We are seeking experienced English language professionals to evaluate candidate performance on a series of written assessment responses. Candidates are asked to draft emails in response to business-related prompts designed to simulate real workplace scenarios. Your role will be to assess the fluency, clarity, and accuracy of their writing, using the CEFR framework as a benchmark. Project Scope: You will: • Review and rate 400-500 written responses against provided rubrics. • Provide clear and concise reasoning for each of your ratings. Requirements: • Native proficiency in English • Fluent in English (written and verbal) for communication with project coordinators. • Deep familiarity with the CEFR framework and its practical application • Experience in business or professional language teaching (preferred) • Experience in applying rubrics and standardized criteria for assessment. • Expertise in linguistics—especially phonemes and phonological systems—with sensitivity to cultural context and nuance in language usage Compensation Structure: • Compensation: o $2 USD for each response rated. o 8 USD per 1 hour of calibration call (we'll likely need 2 to 3 of those, 1 of which will be after the pilot).
