Enterprise OpenStack SME Trainer for Advanced Remote Training - $15k

NobleProg is seeking an experienced OpenStack SME Trainer to deliver an advanced, operations-focused OpenStack course remotely to two regional cohorts. This is not an introductory course. The selected trainer must have recent hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting production OpenStack environments and be able to guide participants through sustained practical lab work. Engagement Details Delivery: Remote, instructor-led Duration: Two separate five-day sessions Schedule: Five consecutive days per session Daily hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the applicable local time zone Instruction: Six hours per day plus a one-hour lunch Cohorts: Separate sessions serving New York and India/London time-zone groups Training mix: Approximately 70% hands-on labs and 30% lecture Dates: To be confirmed Compensation: $1,500 USD per training day Compensation per session: $7,500 USD Total compensation: $15,000 USD for both five-day sessions The trainer should be available to deliver both sessions. Required OpenStack Expertise Candidates should have strong, recent experience with: Keystone identity, domains, projects, users, roles, policies, and service catalogs Glance image administration and troubleshooting Neutron networking, ML2, security groups, provider networks, routers, floating IPs, and quotas OVN and Open vSwitch architecture and troubleshooting Nova compute, Cells v2, Placement, scheduling, flavors, migrations, and service health Cinder block storage, snapshots, backups, QoS, and Ceph integration Barbican key and secrets management Swift object storage Octavia load balancing, Amphora, health monitoring, Layer 7 policies, and failover Heat orchestration and stack lifecycle management High availability, capacity planning, monitoring, upgrades, backup, and recovery Linux, virtualization, networking, storage, APIs, CLI tools, logs, and distributed systems Advanced troubleshooting across compute, networking, storage, databases, RabbitMQ, and the OpenStack control plane Experience with CPU pinning, NUMA, SR-IOV, cloud-init, Ironic, undercloud/overcloud concepts, and zero-downtime upgrade approaches is also preferred. Training Responsibilities The selected trainer will be expected to: Deliver clear architecture and operations-focused instruction Conduct substantive hands-on exercises each morning and afternoon Demonstrate safe administration and troubleshooting practices Manage learner progress within an isolated OpenStack lab environment Coach participants through fault isolation and multi-service troubleshooting Refine the final course agenda with NobleProg and the client during a pre-course planning discussion Help confirm the appropriate deployment methodologies, OpenStack components, and areas of emphasis for the client’s environment Trainer Profile We are looking for someone who: Has recent production-level OpenStack administration experience Has delivered technical training, workshops, or team enablement Can explain complex architecture and troubleshooting concepts clearly Uses a practical, hands-on instructional approach Can manage remote labs across regional cohorts Is comfortable delivering six instructional hours per day Can commit to both five-day training sessions Immediate Availability Required We would like to conduct an initial trainer discussion before Monday.
