Environmental Graphic Designer (EGD)

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Graphic Designer (EGD) / Architectural Signage Designer to translate an existing, professionally developed brand identity into a small number of environmental graphic applications for a premium medical practice in California. **This is not a branding or logo-design project.** We have comprehensive brand guidelines, final vector assets, architectural information, site photography, and site-survey measurements. We need someone with excellent visual judgment to determine how the existing identity can be scaled, positioned, and expressed within the architecture, then document the approved design for a local fabricator. The desired aesthetic is sophisticated, minimal, architectural, and highly precise and is not conventional commercial signage. Work product needed in under 1 week Scope * Review existing brand guidelines and architectural/site information * Develop environmental graphic applications for several identified locations * Determine precise scale, placement, alignment, and relationships to architectural elements * Create visual mockups/elevations for approval * Produce dimensioned design-intent elevations/drawings * Provide final vector artwork and relevant color/material/finish specifications * Recommend appropriate execution methods (painted/masked graphics, dimensional elements, etc.) * Review the local fabricator's shop drawings for conformance with design intent The local fabricator will handle field verification, fabrication engineering, shop drawings, fabrication, and installation. Required experience We are specifically seeking demonstrated experience with environmental/experiential graphics, architectural signage, branded environments, architectural-scale typography, and design-intent documentation. Proficiency with Illustrator and AutoCAD or equivalent is preferred. Experience in premium hospitality, cultural, retail, architectural, or healthcare environments is particularly relevant.
