# Etsy Listing Specialist — Bulk Listing via Vela (Ongoing, High Volume) ## What we do We're Lizton Sign Shop, a custom metal sign manufacturer in Indiana. We print on aluminum composite panel and ship made-to-order, and we're a licensed GM/Corvette partner. We run six Etsy shops with 8,500+ active listings and 39,000+ reviews at a 4.93 average, and we also sell on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Wayfair and our own Shopify stores. We have a large design backlog and a growing pipeline of new artwork. Our images are handled by a separate contractor — you receive finished image sets and turn them into live, well-optimized listings. ## The work **Write the listings.** Title, tags, description, attributes, variations. Etsy's 13-tag limit and 20-character cap shape everything, and we care about getting real search value out of every one. **Load them through Vela.** Bulk CSV import, 500 listings per chunk. A large part of this job is careful high-volume spreadsheet work, and someone who finds that satisfying will do much better here than someone who finds it beneath them. **Work to our house rules.** We have specific standards — required phrases, banned phrases, a personalization section format, size and variation structures, trademark language on licensed products. They're documented. Consistency matters more to us than creative flourish. **Flag what isn't working.** If a category of listings isn't converting, we want to hear it from you rather than discover it ourselves three months later. ## Amazon and eBay We'd like to extend the same designs to Amazon and eBay over time. If you have that experience — backend keywords, item specifics, category and attribute mapping — say so and price it separately. It's a plus, not a requirement. Etsy and Vela are the core of this job and we'd rather hire someone excellent at those than someone mediocre across all three. ## What you need - Demonstrated Etsy listing and SEO experience. This is non-negotiable — it's our biggest channel by a wide margin. - Comfort with bulk CSV workflows and spreadsheets at volume. - English strong enough to write copy that reads naturally to a US buyer. Some of our designs are humorous and the tone has to land. - Care about accuracy. A wrong size in a variation row becomes a refund and a bad review. Nice to have: Vela specifically, Etsy tag research tools (Marmalead, Alura, eRank), Amazon or eBay listing experience, print-on-demand or made-to-order catalog experience, licensed-product compliance. You do **not** need Photoshop or graphic design skill. That's a separate hire. ## How to apply Skip the cover letter. Instead: 1. **Link two live Etsy listings you wrote.** Tell us which parts were your work. 2. **How do you research Etsy tags?** Name the tools and walk us through your actual process in a few sentences. Generic answers tell us you haven't done this. 3. Have you used Vela or another Etsy bulk editor? Which, and for what. 4. Roughly how many listings could you write and load per week at a quality you'd stand behind? ## Terms We'll start with a **paid test batch** — five listings from image sets we provide, written and loaded through Vela. Fixed fee, quoted by you. If that goes well this is steady ongoing work with hundreds of designs waiting and more added weekly.
