Summary

WHO WE ARE Tru Strategic Partners is a women-owned fractional marketing agency built for companies in the Transportation, GovTech, ITS, Public Safety, and Mobility sectors. Our clients are organizations that attend large-scale national trade shows -- events where presence, polish, and execution matter. We are lean, intentional, and growing. We do not operate like a traditional agency. We operate like partners -- embedded in our clients' businesses, invested in their outcomes, and accountable for real results. THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced, highly organized Events Manager to own trade show project management across our client portfolio. You will be the single point of accountability for everything that happens before, during, and after a trade show, from first registration to post-show recap. Our clients attend large-scale industry events. These are high-stakes environments. Nothing can fall through the cracks. WHAT YOU WILL OWN Trade Show Registration and Planning • Research and manage registration for client trade shows, conferences, and industry events • Track deadlines for early-bird pricing, booth selection, and submission requirements • Coordinate sponsorship applications and manage all deliverables tied to sponsor packages • Maintain a master event calendar across all clients Booth and Exhibit Coordination • Manage booth rental, selection, and layout planning with show organizers • Coordinate with vendors for booth design, fabrication, and setup and teardown • Ensure all booth materials, signage, and branded assets are ordered and delivered on time • Serve as the primary point of contact for exhibit hall logistics Logistics and Shipment Tracking • Coordinate shipping of booth materials, collateral, and equipment to and from venues • Track all inbound and outbound shipments and resolve delays or issues proactively • Manage drayage coordination and material handling at venues • Maintain an inventory of reusable trade show assets across clients Engagement Events This is where good events managers separate themselves. Our clients rely on hosted events at trade shows -- happy hours, dinners, networking receptions -- to build relationships and move deals. • Plan and execute client-hosted engagement events at trade shows • Source venues, caterers, and vendors; manage RSVPs and guest lists • Coordinate A/V, decor, branded materials, and on-site logistics • Ensure all events align with client brand standards and business objectives Lead Capture and Technology • Coordinate lead scanner rental and setup for booth staff • Train client staff on lead capture tools and processes pre-show • Ensure lead data is collected, organized, and handed off to the client sales or CRM team post-show Communication and Reporting • Serve as the main point of contact for show organizers, vendors, and client stakeholders • Provide regular status updates and pre-show briefings to client teams • Deliver post-show recaps including leads captured, event attendance, spend summary, and recommendations WHO YOU ARE We are not looking for someone who needs a fully built playbook. We are looking for someone who has run the show before and can hit the ground running. • You have 3+ years of experience managing trade shows, conferences, or large-scale experiential events • You are exceptionally organized -- you run on checklists, timelines, and follow-through • You are a strong communicator -- clear, direct, and professional with clients and vendors alike • You take ownership. If something is your responsibility, it gets done -- without being chased • You are comfortable managing multiple clients and multiple events simultaneously • You are proficient with project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, or similar) • Familiarity with B2B industries such as transportation, ITS, public safety, or government technology is a plus HOW TO APPLY Please submit your resume and a brief overview of 2 to 3 trade shows you have managed -- include the name of the event, approximate size, and your specific role in the execution. Applications without this context will not be reviewed.
