Executive Assistant for Trucking CEO. Long Term, Individuals Only

We run two US trucking companies. We are looking for one person who can take work off our plate and actually own it. This is not a task taking role. We do not want to be asked what to do next. We want to hand something over and know it is handled. If you do the job well, this becomes a long term full time position. No agencies. No teams. No account managers. Individual freelancers only. Agency applications will be rejected without a reply. Responsibillities: Follow up with team and contractors until things are actually finished. Handle email and phone calls with vendors, brokers, and service providers. Organize documents, files, and folders so nothing gets lost. Track projects and tell what is behind before we have to ask. Prepare reports and summaries. Research vendors, tools, and options when we need a decision made. Handle whatever else comes up, because in a growing company something always does. What we are looking for: Someone versatile. You have worn many hats and you are comfortable doing that. A genuinely hard worker. This role has busy weeks. Excellent written and spoken English. Extremely organized. You write things down and nothing falls through. Comfortable chasing people politely and persistently until you get an answer. Able to work independently with very little hand holding. Reliable overlap with US Eastern business hours. Engagement: Start at 10 to 20 hours per week. Strong performance leads to full time. We begin with a short paid trial period before any long term commitment.
