Summary

Rider Glass is looking for an experienced exhibition stand designer, spatial designer or exhibition architect to create a premium and fully buildable exhibition stand for the Rider Outdoor Glass Division at BAU Munich 2027. This is not a graphic-design assignment and not a rendering-only project. We need someone who understands exhibition architecture, visitor flow, real product installation, glass and aluminium profile systems, practical construction methods and technical drawings required by an exhibition contractor. We will appoint two designers for separate paid concept stages at USD 200 each. After comparing both concepts, one designer will be selected to complete the final design package for an additional USD 700. Stand information BAU Munich 2027 – Hall C3, Stand 220 Approx. 7.5 m × 6.5 m = 48.75 m² Three sides open Exact hall plan and enlarged stand location are attached. Please study the stand location, surrounding aisles and visitor approaches before deciding the primary presentation direction. We want the design to take advantage of all three open sides. Our objective The stand should immediately feel like a premium outdoor-living environment. Visitors should understand, even before reading any explanation, that Rider supplies processed and safety glass solutions for applications including: Winter gardens Verandas Terrace roofs Pergolas Patio and sunroom enclosures Sliding glass systems Windbreaks Balconies and balustrades Pool fences Outdoor side glazing An application map is attached for reference. The stand should not look like a conventional glass booth with products displayed on shelves. The products should form the architecture of the stand. We want real glass, real aluminium profiles, real fittings and realistic outdoor applications integrated into one coherent architectural environment. Suggested application concept We have an initial idea for how the three open sides could work, but the designer is encouraged to challenge or improve this if there is a stronger solution. Main presentation area A strong, walk-in outdoor-living pavilion combining applications such as: Winter garden Veranda Terrace roof Pergola glazing Patio or sunroom enclosure The customer meeting or hospitality area could be integrated inside this structure so visitors experience the product while meeting the Rider team. One open side An outdoor terrace/pool-edge environment demonstrating: Frameless pool fencing Glass balustrades Terrace-edge glass Base shoes, spigots or railing profiles Relevant fixing and installation details Other open side A more interactive system area demonstrating: Sliding glass Windbreak systems Side glazing Aluminium profiles Tracks, rollers, handles and fittings Movable elements where practical Visitors should be able to see and understand how the systems work rather than only looking at photographs. Rear area May include: Storage Small pantry/staff area Technical display wall Profile cross-sections Glass and finish samples Digital screen Product drawings and certifications Design direction The stand should feel: Architectural – Premium – Open – Modern – Confident – Welcoming – Product-focused It should make a strong statement at BAU without depending on oversized decorative structures or unrealistic exhibition effects. The main visual impact should come from the outdoor-glass architecture and applications themselves. For colours and materials, we are currently considering either: Option A: saddle orange + warm ivory + charcoal + clear glass or Option B: champagne gold + warm neutrals + clear glass We welcome the designer's recommendation and are open to a better material or colour solution. Buildability is critical This is one of the most important requirements of the project. A beautiful rendering that cannot realistically be constructed is of no value to us. The designer must consider: Supporting structures Realistic materials Main dimensions Glass and profile fixing methods Floor-supported or suspended elements Modular construction and transportation Lighting access Installation and dismantling Safety and stability For every important architectural feature, there must be a realistic construction concept behind the rendering. The completed design should allow an experienced exhibition contractor to: understand it, price it and build it without having to redesign the entire concept. The construction company will remain responsible for final structural calculations, engineering certification, venue approvals and fabrication/shop drawings. Stage 1 – Paid Concept USD 200 fixed price per designer We will appoint two designers independently. Each designer should provide: Brief analysis of the stand location and three open sides. Proposed visitor journey and primary orientation. One dimensioned preliminary floor plan. Two preliminary 3D perspectives from the most important aisle approaches. Proposed outdoor-glass application layout. Reception, meeting/hospitality and storage placement. Initial material and colour direction. Brief explanation of how the principal pavilion or architectural feature would actually be constructed. Target completion: approximately 5–7 days after receiving the necessary product information. Stage 2 – Final Development One designer will be selected after comparing the two concepts. USD 700 fixed price The winning designer will develop the selected concept into a complete design package including: Final dimensioned floor plan. Final visitor-flow and product-placement plan. At least four high-quality 3D perspectives, including views from all three open sides. Front, rear and side elevations. Necessary sections. Ceiling/overhead plan where applicable. Lighting concept and fixture placement. Reception, meeting, hospitality, storage and pantry arrangement. Main outdoor-product display details. Basic glass, profile and fitting installation details. Materials and finishes schedule. Branding and signage placement. Main construction dimensions. Editable AutoCAD/DWG files. Editable 3D source files. Final PDF presentation package. One revision round following Rider Glass review. One reasonable revision round following technical review by the selected exhibition construction company. Target completion: approximately 10–14 days. Designer requirements Applicants must have genuine experience designing exhibition stands that were physically constructed. Please provide: At least three exhibition stands you personally designed. Photographs of the completed physical stands. For at least one project: Original 3D rendering Completed stand photograph Corresponding floor plan, elevation, section or technical drawing Examples of architectural or product-based exhibition stands. Details of the CAD and 3D software you use. Confirmation that editable DWG and 3D source files will be included. European exhibition experience, particularly Germany, is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants who can show only AI-generated concepts or beautiful computer renderings without evidence of physically constructed stands will not be considered. How to apply Please begin your proposal with: BAU-C3-220 Then answer the following questions: Please show one exhibition project where you can provide the original rendering, technical drawings and photographs of the completed physical stand. How would you make Rider's real outdoor-glass products become part of the architecture rather than simply displaying samples? What drawings and construction information would you provide so that an exhibition contractor can accurately price and build your design? Which CAD and 3D programs do you use? Are editable DWG and 3D source files included? Can you complete the USD 200 concept stage within 5–7 days? Can you continue with the USD 700 final development stage if your concept is selected? Generic proposals will not be considered.
