Experienced Wikipedia Editor — Update an Existing Biography (Disclosed Paid Editing)
Worldwide
We need an experienced Wikipedia editor to update an existing English Wikipedia biography. We've done a first pass on research. You'll receive a 149-entry source spreadsheet: 79 press, TV, book and institutional sources with direct URLs and dates; 51 podcast appearances; 19 known gaps with next steps. Every source is pre-rated for Wikipedia usability. We want you to build on it, not just work from it. Part of this job is finding what we missed — particularly independent secondary coverage, which is where the article is weakest. The spreadsheet has a "Needs Recovery" tab listing 19 items we know exist but couldn't locate (Vogue, The Guardian, USA Today, Refinery29, Channel 4 episode pages, and the Columbia/UN/Davos credits among them). Archive work on those is explicitly in scope, and anything you add goes back into the sheet. This is a rewrite, not an addition Most of the current article needs changing, not just extending. The existing text is outdated and describes him inaccurately — for example, it calls him a meditation instructor, which is not how he or his current work would be described. He should be described as a spiritual teacher, humanitarian and bestselling author. Please treat the existing article as a draft to be corrected throughout rather than a base to append to. Where the sources support a different description than the one currently on the page, we want that fixed. The existing maintenance tags need resolving too — through better sourcing, not more words. This is disclosed, COI-compliant paid editing Wikipedia's Terms of Use require paid editors to disclose who is paying them. Because we're connected to the subject, changes should be proposed via a talk-page edit request rather than edited into the live article directly. If your process involves an undisclosed account or a guaranteed result, please don't apply. We also want your honest judgement. If some of the above can't be reliably sourced, say so. We'd rather have a shorter article that holds up than a longer one that gets challenged. You should have: -A named Wikipedia account with a real editing history (please share the username) -Working fluency with WP:BLP, WP:NPOV, WP:RS, WP:COI and WP:PAID -Strong source-hunting skills, including archive and Wayback Machine work -The ability to write in Wikipedia's neutral register.
