Senior AutoCAD Specialist | 2D Drafting, Site Plans & Batch Plotting Automation About the role We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Advanced AutoCAD Drafter for ongoing architectural and technical drafting projects. If you are an expert at turning raw data, hand sketches, and PDFs into flawless, professional DWG files—and you know how to optimize workflows using advanced sheet management and automation—we want to work with you. This role requires someone who doesn't just draw lines, but deeply understands layout precision, industry standards, and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities • 2D Drafting & Floor Plans: Develop accurate, clean, and well-layered architectural floor plans and technical drawings. • Site Plan Preparation: Create comprehensive site plans incorporating property lines, setbacks, utility locations, and existing structures. • File Conversions: Efficiently convert multi-page PDF documents and hand-drawn sketches into fully editable, structured, and native DWG files. • Advanced Sheet Management: Set up and manage complex Sheet Set Managers (SSM) for multi-page project delivery, ensuring uniform title blocks and automated fields. • Automation & Batch Plotting: Utilize batch plotting techniques and AutoCAD automation tools (scripts/ LISP) to streamline repetitive tasks and maintain quick turnaround times. Required Skills & Qualifications • Expert-level mastery of AutoCAD and sketchup 3D (Portfolio required showing clean line-weight management, standardized scaling, and structural layer organization). • Deep understanding of the Sheet Set Manager (SSM), dynamic blocks, and attribute extraction. • Proven experience with Batch Plotting / Publish workflows and custom automation routines for repetitive drafting tasks. • Strong spatial awareness to accurately interpret rough hand sketches and scale them properly.
