Explainer and Tutorial Video for ClearFlow Dashboard

JOB TITLE Create a 2 to 3 Minute Screen Recorded Explainer Video for a Digital Finance Dashboard Product OVERVIEW I have a digital cash flow dashboard (a single HTML file that opens in any browser) that I sell to small business owners. I need a short, professional explainer video that I can use in two ways: 1. As a how-to tutorial sent to customers after they purchase, showing them how to set up and use the dashboard 2. As a product walkthrough on my landing page and social media to show potential buyers what they get The dashboard is already built and ready to record. You will not need to do anything technical - just open the file in Chrome, record your screen, and narrate over it. The tone should be clear, calm, and confidence-building. Think of it as a friendly walkthrough, not a formal training video. WHAT THE VIDEO NEEDS TO COVER (in this order) Step 1 - Opening the dashboard Show the file being opened in a browser. Point out the ClearFlow branding, company name field, currency selector, and the tab layout across the top (Overview, department tabs, Quarterly view). Step 2 - Entering your company name Show clicking the company name field and typing in a business name. Keep it simple and reassuring. Step 3 - Adding revenue figures Navigate to the Overview tab. Click into a revenue row cell and type in a weekly figure. Show how the Total Revenue row updates automatically the moment you type. Enter a few more figures across different weeks to demonstrate this. Step 4 - Navigating department tabs Click through to one of the department tabs (e.g. Warehousing or Operations). Show the layout - the same weekly column structure but focused on costs for that department. Enter a couple of figures and show the department total updating live. Step 5 - Back to Overview - everything has updated Return to the Overview tab and show that the totals have automatically pulled in the department costs. Point out the Total Cash Out row (in red) and the Net Profit row. Step 6 - Collapsing sections Click a section header to collapse it. Show that the dashboard collapses to a clean summary view with just the key totals visible. Point out that Net Profit and Closing Balance are always pinned and never collapse. Step 7 - Quarterly view Click the Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4 tab. Show the quarterly KPI cards and bar chart that auto-generate from the weekly data entered. Step 8 - Saving Click the Save button and confirm the data is saved locally to the browser. Reassure the viewer that their data stays on their own computer and is not sent anywhere. Total runtime: 2 to 3 minutes. Fast-paced but not rushed. Every step should feel easy. Tools like Camtasia, ScreenFlow, or Loom Pro. Good at clear narration and light editing. Does not need to be a motion graphics designer. This approach will produce a clean, professional tutorial video at reasonable cost. Ideal if you have done software tutorial or SaaS onboarding videos before. Option B - Explainer video specialist (higher budget, more polished result) Someone who combines screen recording with light motion graphics - animated callouts, zooms onto specific areas, highlighted click indicators, and a branded intro and outro. This produces a more commercial result suitable for use as a sales asset on the landing page and in ads. Ideal if you have a portfolio of SaaS or software product videos.
