FDA EOUL Sensor Testing Plans - Test Engineer

Summary

We are developing a UV-C room disinfection device that uses multiple sensors to detect human presence. We need a remote test engineer or medical-device consultant to develop modality-specific end-of-useful-life (EOUL) testing plans in response to FDA feedback. This is a fully remote, planning-only engagement. Laboratory testing and test execution are not included at this stage. Sensors in Scope Camera PIR sensor LiDAR/time-of-flight sensor Microphone Scope of Work For each sensor modality: Identify expected degradation mechanisms over a five-year useful life. - Define a practical method to simulate EOUL degradation. - Provide a technical justification for the proposed method. - Recommend a repeatable test setup and required equipment. - Propose performance measurements and acceptance criteria. - Identify any required product information or technical gaps. Deliverables - A separate EOUL testing plan for each sensor modality - Technical justification for each simulated degradation method Recommended test setups, measurements, and acceptance criteria - List of required equipment, samples, and estimated testing effort Preferred Experience - Medical-device verification and validation - Sensor performance testing - Simulated degradation or accelerated-aging methods - FDA submission support - Experience with camera, radar, PIR, LiDAR/ToF, or microphone systems To Apply Provide: - Examples of similar testing plans you have developed - The sensor modalities you have experience testing - Experience with FDA - Your availability and estimated timeline
