# Fashion / Activewear Designer for New Running & Lifestyle Brand — irun2eat ## About irun2eat **irun2eat** is a new running and lifestyle apparel brand built around a simple idea: **We run because we love to eat.** irun2eat is not being created as an elite running or performance-focused brand. We are building a brand for people who enjoy running as part of their lifestyle — people who run, eat, travel, meet friends, discover cafés and restaurants, and enjoy looking good while doing it. The goal is to create products that people genuinely want to wear, while building a recognizable visual identity that can eventually extend beyond running. Our overall brand identity, typography and design direction have already been developed. We are now looking for an experienced **fashion / activewear designer** who can help us translate these ideas into real products that can be sampled and manufactured. Our full brand guide will be shared with shortlisted designers. ## Initial Product Range We want to develop our first irun2eat collection across men's, women's and accessories. ### Men's - Running T-shirts - Running shorts ### Women's - Running T-shirts - Running shorts - Sports bras - Running tights - Running tight shorts - Yoga leggings ### Accessories - Hats - Socks We do not necessarily expect to develop every product simultaneously. We are open to working with the designer to determine the best sequence for developing the collection. ## Existing Brand & Design Direction A major part of irun2eat is creating a **recognizable design language across our products**. We already have an established brand identity and signature visual elements that we want to translate onto different garments and accessories. The designer will be given our existing brand guide, concepts and references. We are **not looking for a complete rebrand**. Instead, we want someone who can understand what we have already created and help us figure out how that identity should live on actual clothing. This could involve exploring: - Placement and proportions of signature brand elements - How design elements wrap around or interact with garments - Repeating visual details across different product categories - Silhouettes and garment proportions - Colour combinations - Fabric choices - Stitching and construction details - Branding placement - Trims and finishing - Small recognizable details that can become synonymous with irun2eat ## What We Need From the Designer We are looking for someone who can help bridge the gap between **brand concept and physical product**. This includes: - Developing apparel concepts based on our existing brand direction - Turning our ideas into proper garment designs - Creating technical flats - Exploring silhouettes, proportions and fit - Developing colourways - Recommending suitable fabrics and materials - Developing trims and garment details - Translating our signature design language across different products - Preparing manufacturer-ready tech packs - Preparing measurements and specifications where required - Advising on suitable manufacturing methods - Helping communicate design requirements to manufacturers - Reviewing samples and suggesting revisions - Refining products through the sampling process We want someone who understands not only **how clothing should look**, but also **how it will actually be made.** ## Design Philosophy irun2eat sits at the intersection of: **Running × Fashion × Food × Lifestyle** We don't want to create generic activewear with our logo printed on it. We want to develop a recognizable product language that can grow with the brand over time. The clothes should feel contemporary, stylish and distinctive while still being practical for the activities they are designed for. Running pieces should genuinely work for running. Yoga pieces should genuinely work for yoga. But the brand itself should remain approachable and lifestyle-driven rather than feeling overly technical, competitive or elite. ## Who We're Looking For Ideally, you have experience with: - Activewear - Running apparel - Sportswear - Athleisure - Women's activewear - Garment construction - Fabric and material selection - Technical flats - Tech packs - Apparel manufacturing - Sample development Experience developing products that have actually gone into manufacturing is highly preferred. We would especially like to work with someone who has a strong sense of **fashion and brand identity**, rather than someone who approaches activewear purely from a technical sportswear perspective. ## Deliverables Depending on the product, deliverables may include: 1. Design development 2. Technical front and back flats 3. Detail drawings 4. Colourways 5. Branding and artwork placement 6. Fabric recommendations 7. Trim specifications 8. Construction details 9. Measurement/specification sheets 10. Manufacturer-ready tech packs 11. Revisions following sampling The final scope and number of products will be agreed upon before beginning the project. ## When Applying Please include: - Your portfolio - Examples of activewear, running apparel, athleisure or fashion products you have designed - Examples of technical flats - Examples of tech packs - Examples of products you designed that were actually manufactured, if available - Your experience working with apparel manufacturers - Your process from initial idea → design → tech pack → sample - Your pricing structure or estimated rate per product Please also briefly explain **why you think your design style would be suitable for irun2eat**. We are looking for someone who can potentially grow with the brand beyond this first collection, so a strong creative fit is just as important to us as technical ability.
