Fashion Illustrator to Create a Y2K Inspired Activewear / Athleisure Collection

We are developing a women’s athleisure / activewear brand inspired by early 2000s athleticwear, with a feminine off-duty lifestyle direction: low-rise silhouettes, flared pants, piping, contrast binding, layered tops, vibrant color combinations and cotton-based fabrics. Looking for a fashion illustrator to help us develop a cohesive collection: mood boards, design concepts for 6–8 complete looks, front/back flat sketches of the approved looks. Important — what we’re going for: We want the era’s silhouettes and construction codes, NOT the loud graphic surface. Think: low-rise waists, flared/capri legs, cotton/rib knit fabrics, piping and contrast binding, layering, double-layered tank tops, halter necklines. We do NOT want big logo panels, color-blocking, or anything that reads as costume-y or kitsch. The goal is refined and wearable today, with 2000s DNA underneath — not a literal throwback. A moodboard is attached for overall vibe/energy reference only — we are not looking to replicate any of it literally, just capture the era’s spirit through modern, elevated execution. What we need: • Strong point of view on Y2K/2000s silhouettes, translated into a refined, wearable aesthetic • Flat sketches (front/back) that clearly show construction details (bindings, waistbands, stitching, trims) • Comfortable iterating on mood boards and concept art before locking a final design direction • A broad portfolio showing range — we care about aesthetic sensibility and versatility over one narrow specialty Not required (for now): full manufacturer tech packs — we’ll handle that separately once designs are locked.
