Looking for a Fiction Ghostwriter Literary Novel, Full Manuscript Hi! I'm looking for an experienced fiction ghostwriter to help bring a literary novel to life. The project already has a solid foundation premise, chapter structure, character arcs, and tone are worked out but I need a writer with real craft to turn that scaffolding into a living, breathing manuscript. The Story It's a contemporary literary/social-realist novel about a young family under mounting pressure financial, emotional, institutional. It touches on addiction, poverty, parenthood, shame, and the slow accumulation of small choices into consequences that can't be undone. Think the emotional honesty of Candy or the working-class weight of American Rust not as templates to copy, but as a sense of the emotional register I'm going for. Grounded, quiet, cumulative. The tension comes from ordinary moments counting money, avoiding a conversation, hiding a problem rather than big dramatic swings. When things do erupt, I'd love for it to feel brief and real rather than cinematic. What's Already in Place I have a full project packet ready to share with the right writer: story overview, chapter outline (~23 chapters), character profiles and arcs, tone/voice notes, key scenes, and some sample material. It's meant to give you a strong runway not a cage. I'm genuinely interested in a writer who brings their own instincts to the scene-level execution, not just someone transcribing an outline. Style Notes Present tense, close third person Emotionally restrained feelings come through behavior and subtext, not explanation Literary but not ornate; lyrical in small doses, never decorative Natural dialogue, comfortable with silence and avoidance Scope Roughly 80,000–90,000 words. I'm hoping to find someone with experience writing full-length literary or upmarket fiction, ideally with some ghostwriting background, who's comfortable sustaining a consistent voice over a long manuscript and handling heavy subject matter with restraint rather than sentimentality. t This is a ghostwriting arrangement, so the manuscript and story rights will belong to the client under our agreement, and the work stays confidential. Just flagging that up front so it's clear before anyone applies. To Apply I'd love to: see samples that show off your prose (especially anything close-third or interiority-driven) How you like to approach drafting from a detailed outline Your rate structure for a project this size I'm not looking for the fastest turnaround I'm looking for someone who connects with what this book is trying to do and can carry that feeling across an entire novel. If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you.
