Finance Manager/ Business Valuation & Financial Operations Specialist

Long-Term | 40+ hrs/week | Remote We are seeking an experienced finance professional to become an integral part of our growing organization. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of finance, accounting, advisory, business valuation, and operational support. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, highly organized, and comfortable acting as both a strategic finance leader and a hands-on operator. You will work directly with business owners, leadership, lenders, attorneys, and internal team members on a wide variety of financial and operational projects. This is not a traditional bookkeeping role. We're looking for someone capable of overseeing an entire outsourced finance function while also supporting business acquisitions, valuations, due diligence, and financial consulting. Primary Responsibilities Business Valuations & Financial Analysis Analyze business financial statements, tax returns, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and general ledgers. Calculate Seller's Discretionary Earnings (SDE), EBITDA, and adjusted cash flow. Prepare business valuation reports using multiple valuation methodologies. Review owner add-backs and discretionary expenses. Analyze historical financial performance and identify trends. Build financial models and forecasts. Evaluate businesses for lending and SBA financing. Perform industry research and comparable transaction analysis. Conduct financial due diligence. Review lease agreements and commercial real estate documents. Research business entities, licenses, litigation, liens, and UCC filings. Assist brokers during valuation meetings and seller consultations. Outsourced Finance Department Responsibilities Act as an outsourced Finance Director or Fractional CFO for multiple businesses by overseeing: Accounting & Bookkeeping Month-end and year-end close General ledger management Journal entries Bank and credit card reconciliations Fixed assets Chart of accounts design Accrual accounting Cash accounting Financial statement preparation Xero Accounting We use Xero extensively, so strong Xero experience is highly preferred.
