First Person Video Collection – Multilingual 📍 Remote | Freelance | Flexible Schedule We are looking for contributors to participate in a paid AI data collection project focused on capturing real-world video data to support the development of AI technologies. As a contributor, you will record short videos from an egocentric (first-person) perspective, where the camera represents your point of view. You will capture everyday activities (such as walking, cooking, organizing, or other routine tasks) while providing detailed narration of your actions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to innovative AI projects while working remotely on your own schedule. Project Details ✅ Record first-person perspective videos using a head mount, chest mount, smart glasses, GoPro, or similar equipment ✅ Video duration: 1–20 minutes per recording ✅ Narrate your actions clearly while recording ✅ Complete recordings from your own location with a flexible schedule ✅ Deadline: Looking for fiercely COMMITTED contributors. Examples of Activities Participants may record everyday activities such as: - Household tasks and cleaning - Cooking and food preparation - DIY projects and repairs - Crafts and hobbies - Other routine activities that involve clear actions and narration Eligible Narration Languages We are currently looking for native contributors who can narrate in: English [High Priority] – The contributors could be based anywhere, but they need to be native EN speaker Other languages: Polish, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Turkish Requirements ✔ Comfortable recording from a first-person (egocentric) perspective ✔ Able to provide clear and continuous verbal narration while performing everyday activities ✔ Have access to a suitable recording device or be willing to use the required equipment ✔ Able to follow detailed recording guidelines and meet quality requirements ✔ Available to commit time during the project period ✔ Previous experience with data collection projects is preferred but not required ✔ Bilingual and multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply ✔ Submit an updated CV/Resume with your application Time Commitment We are ideally looking for contributors who can support a full-time schedule (up to 40 hours/week). However, contributors with limited availability are also welcome to apply. The schedule is flexible, allowing you to complete recordings at times that work best for you. Payment $16 USD for every hour of video that is accepted – English $8 USD for every hour of video that is accepted – Other languages $7 Narration only in English $3.5 Narration only in other languages. Compensation will be made per accepted hour of recording. 📌 Please note: All videos will go through a detailed quality review process. Feedback may be provided when needed, and payment will only be issued for videos that meet the project's quality requirements and are accepted. If you don't have a recording device or strap, you can buy a head or chest strap. We will reimburse you once you complete at least 10 hours of accepted videos. Outdoors & Activity — 1,000 hours City tours, shopping, navigating public transit. Personal Care — 1,500 hours Haircut, applying makeup, detailed grooming routines. Repairs and DIY — 1,500 hours Recording / Narration Requirements - Egocentric, first-person footage that includes human narration that closely matches the visuals. The speaker should describe the actions, objects, and environment currently visible rather than discuss unrelated topics. - Make narration instructional and highly detailed. Break tasks into granular, step-by-step actions, including each manual movement, tool use, and object interaction. - Describe the wider environment as well as the main task, including background objects, spatial relationships, lighting, surroundings, and visible activity. - Use a pause-and-describe workflow for recorded narration: pause at fast or complex actions, record a complete description, then continue to the next step. - Meet basic video-quality requirements: preferably Full HD/1080p or similar. - Keep clips generally between 1 and 20 minutes, avoid repetitive footage, and ensure static-camera content represents only a minority of the submission. - Prioritize detailed procedural activities such as home tasks, repairs, crafts, trades, technology use, personal care, professional workflows, and general how-to demonstrations; deprioritize broad reviews, passive content, and many fast-paced sports or vehicle-operation videos.
