Fix AI Chatbot + API Integration Issues on My Web App (OpenAI | REST APIs | Node.js)

I have an AI chatbot embedded in my web app that's connected to a few external APIs. Several things have broken and I need a developer who can jump into the codebase, identify the issues, and fix them cleanly. *The problems:* *Chatbot* • Conversation history is being dropped, each message goes to OpenAI without the previous context • System prompt is not persisting after the first exchange • Responses are not streaming correctly on the frontend, the full reply appears at once instead of token by token *API Integrations* • Chatbot is supposed to call our internal REST API to fetch user data and personalise responses, this call is either failing silently or returning stale data • Webhook from our CRM is hitting the endpoint but the payload isn't being parsed correctly, handler returns 200 but nothing gets processed • Rate limiting on the OpenAI calls isn't implemented, we're hitting limits under small load **Tech involved:** • Frontend: React • Backend: Node.js / Express • AI: OpenAI GPT-4o (chat completions + streaming) • External: REST API calls, CRM webhook (JSON payload) **What I need:** • Fix conversation history so full context is passed with every API call • Stabilise the streaming response on the React side • Debug the internal API call the bot makes mid-conversation • Fix webhook payload parsing so CRM events are processed correctly • Add basic rate limiting and error handling on the OpenAI calls **Requirements:** • Strong with OpenAI API, chat completions, streaming, token management • Comfortable debugging REST APIs and webhook handlers in Node.js/Express • Can read existing code quickly and fix without a full rewrite • Please include a short note on which of these issues you've dealt with before Budget: $20 | Timeline: 1-2 days
