Flutter Developer to Build Cross-Platform App with Node.js Backend (iOS & Android)

We're building a mobile-first consumer app and looking for a senior Flutter developer to take ownership of the full build, from a clean Flutter frontend to a Node.js backend, and ship it to the App Store and Google Play. The product scope is defined and we have initial designs. We need an engineer who can own the whole path: build the cross-platform Flutter app, stand up a solid Node.js/Express REST API, wire in auth, data, and push notifications, and get us to a stable, production-ready release, not a demo. What you'll build: A cross-platform Flutter app for iOS and Android from one codebase (smooth, 60 FPS UI) A Node.js (Express) backend with a REST API, database (PostgreSQL or MongoDB), and clean, documented endpoints User authentication, profiles, and role-based access Push notifications, in-app purchases/subscriptions, and basic analytics Full App Store and Google Play submission and launch Requirements: Proven experience shipping consumer-facing Flutter apps to the App Store and Google Play Strong full-stack capability: Flutter on the front end and Node.js/REST API on the back end Comfortable owning architecture and making sound technical decisions independently Experience with Firebase, third-party API integration, and CI for releases Clear communication and a bias toward execution Nice to have: Experience integrating AI or chat-based features (OpenAI/LLM) Native depth in Swift or Kotlin Engagement: Initial build sprint to deliver a stable MVP, with a view to a longer-term collaboration High-ownership role working directly with the founder Please share 1–2 examples of Flutter apps you've shipped (with App Store/Google Play links) and a short note on your role.
