Forward Deployed Engineer (Full-Stack) for Entertainment Venue SaaS
Worldwide
We build software for entertainment venues: bowling centers, darts bars and other competitive socializing spots where people come to play, eat and drink. Venue operators across the US run their bookings, packages, food and drink orders and reporting on our platform. We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer: a senior full-stack engineer who owns features end to end, from a call with a venue manager to a release in production. What you'll work on - Guest booking flow: real-time availability for lanes, dartboards and private areas, group and party bookings, deposits, and packages that bundle play with food and drinks. - Operator back office: pricing rules (peak and off-peak, per hour or per game), schedules, staff roles, multi-location settings. - Integrations with POS, payment providers and lane scoring systems. - Reporting for venue managers: utilization per lane and board, revenue per hour, food and drink spend per booking. - Reliability at peak. On Friday and Saturday nights every venue is busy at once, and a double booking means a group of 12 standing at the front desk. What we're looking for - 5+ years of full-stack work on production SaaS. Our stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js and PostgreSQL on AWS. Deep experience with a comparable stack is fine. - You've owned features end to end: talked to users, decided scope, built, deployed and checked the result in production. - Hands-on experience with booking, scheduling or payment flows: time slots and time zones, concurrent reservations, holds and deposits, refunds, idempotent payment handling. - You use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar) every day, and you review, test and take responsibility for what they generate. - You're comfortable owning deployment: CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and handling an incident on a busy Saturday night. - Clear written English. You'll write directly to venue operators. - At least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern time. Nice to have Hospitality, restaurant tech, ticketing or other venue software. Experience with on-site hardware: kiosks, payment terminals, RFID game cards. Multi-tenant, multi-location SaaS architecture. Engagement Long-term, 30-40 hours per week. We start with a paid first milestone: one real feature from our backlog, roughly 2 weeks. If it works for both sides, we continue on an ongoing contract. How to apply Start your proposal with the word "strike". Then tell us in a few sentences about one feature you shipped end to end: the user problem, what you built on front and back, and how you verified it worked in production. Generic proposals will be skipped.
