Founding Principal Engineer — AI Platform (Long-Term)

We’re seeking a founding-level, hands-on Principal Engineer to take Epsom Technologies’ partially built AI products from prototype to secure, reliable production. This is not a research, advisory, or management-only role. You will assess the existing codebase, establish architectural and deployment ground truth, define a realistic Phase 1, and personally build the most critical components. Initial priorities include conversational agent workflows, university and career matching, internal-data retrieval, document intelligence, permissions, and secure handling of user data. You’ll work directly with the founder and current engineers, spending approximately 50–60% of your time coding while guiding architecture, engineering standards, testing, and product delivery. We’re looking for demonstrated experience shipping production AI/LLM systems—not merely prototypes or tutorials. This is a full-time, remote engagement expected to last 12–24 months, with potential for a longer-term leadership role. India-based candidates are preferred.
