Summary

About Lyvida Lyvida Ltd is a UK-registered early-stage company building a digital learning and community platform across wellness, beauty and fashion. The platform combines professionally produced masterclasses with LyvdCircle, our community and member-engagement ecosystem. We are preparing to launch and sell digital memberships across the UK, USA and EU. Our initial membership model is approximately $29.99 annually for the first 999 founding members, with pricing expected to increase as the platform, content library and member base grow. The first and second years may develop gradually while we validate demand, improve retention and establish product-market fit. We therefore need financial systems that are lean and proportionate today but capable of supporting international growth, investment and due diligence later. We also have VALEVI, an adjacent premium mineral-hydration concept currently at prototype and demand-testing stage. It is not yet commercially launched or authorised for sale, so it is not a major part of the immediate accounting workload, but its future financial and compliance structure may eventually need consideration. (Not yet though) The role We are looking for a highly reliable fractional Accountant, Tax and Compliance Lead who can take ownership of Lyvida’s financial foundations and provide the founder with clear, practical direction. The ideal person will understand UK accounting and taxation while having genuine experience with SaaS or digital-subscription companies selling internationally. You should understand—or be able to coordinate specialists covering—EU VAT/OSS and US sales-tax nexus, registrations and filing obligations. We do not expect one person to hold every professional qualification across the UK, USA and EU. However, we need one accountable finance lead who can identify what is required, prevent unnecessary registrations or costs, coordinate appropriate local specialists and ensure that nothing important is overlooked. Initial deliverables During the first 30–60 days, we would like you to: * Review Lyvida’s current company, accounting, banking and financial position. * Identify any accounting, tax or compliance gaps. * Establish or improve the chart of accounts, bookkeeping processes and financial controls. * Create a clear UK, US and EU tax and compliance obligations matrix. * Build a compliance calendar showing deadlines, responsibilities and required filings. * Recommend the appropriate treatment of international digital-membership revenue. * Assess UK VAT, EU VAT/OSS and potential US sales-tax nexus requirements. * Set up a practical system for recording revenue from subscriptions, trials, refunds, gift passes and payment-processing fees. * Prepare a realistic 24-month financial forecast with conservative, base and growth scenarios. * Create an investor-ready monthly reporting and financial data-room structure. * Explain all priorities, risks and recommendations clearly to the founder. Ongoing monthly responsibilities The monthly scope is expected to include: * Bookkeeping oversight and bank reconciliations. * Revenue, expense, invoice and payment-processor reconciliation. * Monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow. * Cash-flow forecasting, runway monitoring and budget-versus-actual reporting. * Tax estimates, VAT oversight and compliance monitoring. * Companies House and HMRC compliance support. * Coordination of US and EU accountants or tax specialists when legally required. * Payroll and contractor-payment support when applicable. * Monitoring of subscription revenue, refunds and deferred revenue. * A concise monthly founder report explaining performance, risks, upcoming obligations and recommended actions. * Maintaining organised, accurate and investor-ready financial records. As data becomes available, we would also like support with key SaaS and investor metrics, including: * MRR and ARR. * Customer acquisition cost. * Lifetime value. * Conversion and retention. * Churn. * Average revenue per user. * Gross margin. * Burn rate and runway. * Revenue forecasts and fundraising scenarios. Investor readiness Even if growth is measured during the first two years, our financial records and documents must always be clear, credible and ready for investor review. You should be able to help us produce: * A robust financial model. * Monthly investor or board-level financial summaries. * Revenue and cost assumptions that can be defended. * Use-of-funds projections. * Fundraising and dilution scenarios. * Clean historical accounts and supporting documentation. * A well-organised financial data room for future due diligence. We are not looking for inflated forecasts. We value realistic assumptions, accurate records and transparent reporting that allow investors to understand both Lyvida’s potential and its present stage. Experience required We would prefer someone with: * ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or an equivalent recognised qualification. * Strong UK accounting, corporation-tax and VAT knowledge. * Experience with SaaS, subscriptions, digital content or online communities. * Practical knowledge of EU VAT/OSS and US sales-tax nexus. * Experience supporting early-stage or venture-backed businesses. * Experience creating financial models and investor-ready reporting. * Proficiency with Stripe, Shopify or similar platforms. * Strong written and verbal communication. * Verifiable references and professional indemnity insurance. * Secure and responsible handling of confidential financial information. How we work You will initially work directly with Lyvida’s founder and coordinate with relevant members of our technology, marketing and external advisory teams. We value someone who: * Communicates clearly without unnecessary financial jargon. * Is proactive about deadlines, risks and missing information. * Challenges unrealistic assumptions constructively. * Understands the financial limitations of a lean startup. * Does not create unnecessary complexity or compliance costs. * Can provide practical solutions rather than simply identifying problems. * Is committed, dependable and interested in understanding the business over time. We expect a structured monthly meeting, supported by a concise written report and a clear list of actions, deadlines and responsibilities. Commercial arrangement and future opportunity We are looking for a sensible fixed monthly startup retainer, with a clearly defined scope and transparent pricing for any additional annual filings, specialist tax advice or project work. Please propose a lean fee suitable for the company’s current stage, together with pricing tiers showing how your support and fees would change as revenue, transaction volume, employees and international obligations increase. For the right person, this can become a long-term relationship. Someone who demonstrates strong judgment, commitment, strategic ability and trustworthiness may have the opportunity to take on broader finance leadership and potentially develop into Lyvida’s fractional or future CFO as the company grows and prepares for investment. This progression would be based on performance, business needs and mutual alignment. When applying, please include * Your relevant qualifications and location. * Examples of SaaS or subscription businesses you have supported. * Your experience across the UK, USA and EU. * Your proposed monthly retainer and exactly what it includes. * Any services or filings that would be charged separately. * How you would approach Lyvida’s first 30–60 days. * An example of an investor or management reporting pack you have created, with confidential information removed. * Two relevant client references where possible. * Confirmation of your professional insurance. * Whether you personally complete international filings or coordinate vetted local specialists. Please begin your application with the words **“Lyvida Finance”** so we know you have read the complete brief.
