Fractional Controller / FP&A Professional — Construction

We are a fractional accounting and finance firm seeking a strong Controller/FP&A professional to bridge the gap between our bookkeepers and CFOs. You will review financial data prepared by bookkeepers and turn it into accurate reports, forecasts, and actionable insights for the CFO and our clients. Responsibilities Review financial statements and manage month-end close Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and variance analyses Analyze job costing, project profitability, WIP, retainage, and over/underbillings Build dashboards and improve reporting through automation Guide bookkeepers and provide decision-ready information to CFOs Help implement and optimize accounting systems and ERPs Requirements Strong Controller and FP&A experience Construction accounting experience Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills Experience with accounting systems, ERPs, dashboards, and automation tools Clear communication, close attention to detail, and consistent responsiveness Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple client engagements Experience with systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Procore, Buildertrend, Foundation, Viewpoint, Power BI, Zapier, or Make is preferred.
