Fractional Local Account Manager – Ecommerce & Supply Chain

We are an established e\-commerce supply\-chain management company looking for an experienced, locally based Account Manager in [United States / United Kingdom / Europe / Australia]\. This is a part\-time contract position\. You will act as the local point of contact for a small portfolio of e\-commerce clients while working closely with our international demand planning and operations teams\. This is primarily a client relationship and coordination role\. Our internal specialists will handle the detailed forecasting, inventory planning and operational execution\. Responsibilities • Manage relationships with approximately 3–5 client accounts\. • Lead regular client calls, performance reviews and operational updates\. • Understand each client’s priorities, concerns and growth plans\. • Convert client requirements into clear actions for our internal teams\. • Review forecasting, inventory and operational updates before presenting them to clients\. • Ensure client enquiries are acknowledged within one business day\. • Maintain accurate meeting notes, action lists and CRM updates\. • Monitor account health and identify potential issues early\. • Follow up internally to ensure commitments and deadlines are met\. • Support client retention, renewals and relevant service\-expansion opportunities\. Requirements • You must currently live and work in the target country or region\. • At least three years of account management, customer success or client services experience\. • Experience in e\-commerce, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, fulfilment, Amazon or Shopify is strongly preferred\. • Comfortable communicating with founders and senior decision\-makers\. • Strong meeting leadership, follow\-up and written communication skills\. • Able to communicate operational information clearly and confidently\. • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working with an international remote team\. • Commercially aware and capable of recognising retention risks and growth opportunities\. Engagement Structure • Independent contractor through Upwork\. • Initial paid 30\-day trial\. • Approximately 5–10 hours per week initially\. • Start with 1–3 accounts and gradually increase to approximately 5 accounts\. • Some availability during the client’s local business hours is required\. • Expected hourly range: USD $40–$60, depending on experience and location\. • Opportunity for additional accounts, increased hours and a longer\-term position based on performance\.
