Framer Designer for Biotech Website

We are an early-stage biotech startup looking for an excellent Framer web designer/developer to design and launch a polished, highly credible company website within 10 days. Our website has three primary goals: - Generate interest and confidence among investors - Help us recruit exceptional scientific and business talent - Clearly communicate why our product and technology are genuinely differentiated We operate in a scientific environment where credibility matters. We want the website to communicate that what we are building is highly novel and potentially category-defining, while remaining rigorous, thoughtful, and believable. We are not looking for the typical exaggerated s/w startup/SaaS aesthetic with unsupported claims, excessive buzzwords etc. The right site should feel: - Premium - Scientific - Modern - Sophisticated - Highly credible - Innovative without being gimmicky - Exciting without overstating scientific claims Think world-class biotech company / serious science / breakthrough innovation, rather than generic technology startup. Scope We expect approximately 5–7 pages, likely including something like: Home Technology / Science Product About / Company Team Careers Contact We will finalize the sitemap with the selected designer. We will provide the core scientific and company information. We would value a designer who can also help us structure and present complicated scientific information clearly for different audiences. The site needs to work for: - Sophisticated investors - Scientists and technical experts - Potential employees - Strategic partners - People who understand biotech but may not understand our specific technology You will be responsible for: - Website design and visual direction - Framer implementation - Responsive desktop/tablet/mobile design - Page structure and hierarchy - Helping translate complex information into a clear visual story - Appropriate scientific/biotech imagery or visual concepts - Basic animations/interactions where they improve the site - Contact forms - Basic SEO setup - Analytics setup - Domain connection - Cross-browser/mobile testing - Launch We strongly prefer a site that is easy for our team to update after launch using content mgt system . Important: Scientific Credibility You do not need to be a scientist, but you must understand that biotech communication is different from conventional consumer or SaaS marketing. We need someone who knows how to make something feel innovative without resorting to hype. Any substantive scientific claims must come from information we provide. Strong typography, information hierarchy, thoughtful diagrams/visuals, and sophisticated restraint are more important to us than flashy effects. Timeline: This is an urgent project. We want to begin immediately and launch within 10 calendar days of hiring. Our expected process: Days 1–2: Sitemap, visual direction, references, homepage concept Days 3–6: Full website first version Day 5-6: Consolidated review from our team Days 7–8: Revisions and remaining pages Day 9: Mobile optimization, SEO, forms, testing Day 10: Final QA and launch Please only apply if you have meaningful availability during this period. Ideal Candidate, you should have: Strong Framer experience Excellent visual design skills A portfolio of sophisticated, professional websites Experience with biotech, healthcare, life sciences, deep tech, medical technology, or similarly credibility-sensitive industries is strongly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality Strong attention to typography and detail Ability to take feedback and iterate quickly We care much more about the quality of your actual work than the number of years you have been freelancing. Budget ~$1,500 fixed price Please propose a fixed project price within this range. We are willing to consider a somewhat higher proposal for an exceptional designer whose portfolio demonstrates a particularly strong fit. Payment can be divided into milestones. Ongoing Work: We are not looking only for a one-time website build. If the relationship works well, we would like the same person to remain available for ongoing website updates and maintenance after launch. Please include your normal hourly rate or proposed arrangement for ongoing work. Ownership: The website will be created in a Framer account owned by our company. All final website files, designs, graphics specifically created for the project, and account access must be transferred/provided to us upon completion.
