Frappe Developer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Frappe Framework / Frappe Developer with strong hands-on expertise in developing, customizing, and maintaining applications on the Frappe Framework and ERPNext platform. The candidate will be responsible for building custom applications, integrating third-party systems, developing APIs, and enhancing ERPNext modules based on business requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and customize applications using the Frappe Framework and ERPNext. Design and develop custom DocTypes, Forms, Reports, Print Formats, Workflows, and Server Scripts. Develop robust backend functionality using Python and Frappe ORM. Develop responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Frappe UI. Customize and extend existing ERPNext modules according to business requirements. Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs. Work with MariaDB/MySQL databases and write optimized SQL queries. Troubleshoot application issues, performance problems, and production bugs. Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities. Manage Frappe/ERPNext applications across development, UAT, and production environments. Work with Git for version control and collaborative development. Understand business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions. Maintain technical documentation for custom applications and integrations. Collaborate with Business Analysts, ERP consultants, QA, and other technical teams. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Frappe Framework and ERPNext. Strong proficiency in Python. Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Frappe ORM, DocTypes, Hooks, Controllers, Background Jobs, and REST APIs. Good knowledge of MariaDB/MySQL and SQL. Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab. Understanding of Linux/Ubuntu server environments. Experience in debugging and performance optimization. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and coding standards. Good to Have Experience with ERPNext custom app development. Experience with Frappe integrations with external systems. Knowledge of Redis, Nginx, Celery/background workers. Experience with Docker or cloud platforms such as GCP/AWS/Azure. Knowledge of ERP modules such as HR, Payroll, Accounting, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Sales. Experience working with manufacturing or FMCG business processes. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant hands-on experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications. Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a strong hands-on developer who can independently understand requirements, develop Frappe/ERPNext solutions, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with business and technical teams.
