About the Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented freelance photo editor to manage final editing for our weekly New Arrivals capsule. Selects arrive with a base edit, skin smoothing, and grain already applied — your job is to take them from “good” to “ship-ready” and deliver the finished Lightroom catalog back to us. Volume & Cadence • ~450 images edited per weekly capsule • ~85 SKUs per capsule • Recurring weekly workload with a set turnaround window (see Logistics below) Key Responsibilities Final Image Editing • Adjust exposure, white balance, and tint on each image for a consistent, accurate look • Monitor and correct orange oversaturation (a known problem area) across all shots • Remove distracting elements — dark spots on the carpet, backdrop extensions/seams, and similar imperfections • Apply advanced, targeted retouching beyond the base edit where needed: ◦ Additional skin smoothing and finer grain matching on close-up face shots ◦ Detail work around jewelry ◦ Skin texture the automated skin mask missed ◦ Armpit wrinkles, chin wrinkles, and spray-tan unevenness on elbows and ankles Delivery • Deliver the updated Lightroom Classic catalog within 3 days Qualifications • Proven experience with Adobe Lightroom (required) and comfort working within an existing base-edit preset/workflow • Strong eye for color accuracy — exposure, white balance, tint, and saturation control • Retouching experience: frequency separation or comparable skin-smoothing technique, spot/backdrop cleanup • Comfortable with a high-volume, deadline-driven weekly workflow • Strong attention to detail and consistency across large batches • Portfolio or sample edits (before/after) required
