Full-Stack Developer - Commercial Beekeeping & Pollination Management SaaS
Worldwide
We're building a mobile-first SaaS platform for commercial beekeepers and agricultural pollination operators and looking for a senior full-stack developer to take ownership of the full build, from a clean responsive frontend to the backend, database, and production deployment. The product scope is defined and we have initial designs. We need an engineer who can own the whole path: build the web app, stand up a solid backend and PostgreSQL database, wire in authentication, mapping, operational workflows, and reporting, and get us to a stable, production-ready MVP, not a demo. What you'll build: A mobile-first React/Next.js application that works smoothly on phones, tablets, and desktop A Node.js/TypeScript backend with a REST or typed API, PostgreSQL database, and clean, documented endpoints Organization accounts, user authentication, profiles, and role-based access Apiary and individual hive management, including hive history, queen status, colony health, and inspection records Fast field inspection workflows for beekeepers working from phones or tablets Treatment and pest tracking, including follow-up tasks and treatment history Pollination logistics for assigning and moving hundreds of hives between apiaries, farms, and customer locations Interactive mapping using Mapbox, Google Maps, or similar Dashboards, filtering, reporting, and CSV/PDF exports Stripe subscriptions and production deployment Requirements: Proven experience shipping production SaaS or operational web applications Strong full-stack capability: React/Next.js and TypeScript on the front end, Node.js on the back end Strong PostgreSQL and relational database design skills Comfortable owning architecture and making sound technical decisions independently Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, authentication, permissions, and complex relational data Experience integrating mapping APIs, third-party services, and cloud infrastructure Strong mobile-responsive UX instincts and a bias toward execution Clear communication and ability to work directly from product requirements Nice to have: Experience with AgTech, logistics, field-service, fleet, or asset-management software Experience building PWAs or offline-capable applications for users with unreliable connectivity QR code or barcode scanning experience GIS or location-based application experience Stripe SaaS billing experience IoT or sensor-data integration experience Engagement: Initial build sprint to deliver a stable MVP, with a view to a longer-term collaboration High-ownership role working directly with the founder Please share 1–2 examples of relevant SaaS, logistics, field-service, or operational applications you've shipped and a short note on your role.
