# Momentum Coffee — E-Commerce Website Developer Brief ## Project Overview Momentum Coffee is seeking a developer or development agency to build a full-featured e-commerce website that supports online ordering, catering, subscriptions, and multi-location expansion, with integrations into our existing point-of-sale and marketplace channels. We're looking for proposals that address the requirements below, along with a recommended tech stack, timeline, and cost estimate. ## Core Requirements ### 1. Full E-Commerce Ordering Flow - Customers must be able to browse the menu/products, build an order, add items to a cart, and complete checkout entirely on the site. - Support for order customization (modifiers, sizes, add-ons) as applicable. - Order confirmation and receipt (email and/or on-screen). ### 2. Square POS Integration - Native API integration with Square, our point-of-sale system. - Orders placed online should sync with Square for fulfillment, inventory, and reporting. - Menu/pricing changes made in Square should be reflected on the site (or vice versa — developer to advise on best sync approach). ### 3. Analytics & Tracking - Full compatibility with Google Analytics (GA4). - Google Tag Manager implementation for flexible event/conversion tracking. - Ability to track the full purchase funnel (product views, add-to-cart, checkout steps, completed purchase). ### 4. Multi-Location Support - Architecture that supports multiple store locations, each with its own page/section. - Locations should share a similar template and branding but allow for differences in menu, hours, address, and offerings. - Adding a new location in the future should be straightforward (not a full rebuild). ### 5. External Marketplace Redirects - Dedicated pages/links that direct customers to our existing Amazon store and Shopify store for relevant products. ### 6. Content Pages - Blog / News section - Contact Us page - About / general marketing pages as needed ### 7. Catering Page - Dedicated catering page with the ability to submit/create catering orders (this may be a request-based form or a full order-and-checkout flow — developer to advise on best approach given lead-time and customization needs typical of catering). ### 8. Coffee Bean Sales + Subscription Club - Page to sell retail coffee beans. - Subscription functionality (recurring "coffee club" orders — e.g., monthly bag shipments) with the ability for customers to manage/pause/cancel their subscription. ### 9. Admin/Owner Access - Secure backend/admin access for owners and staff to: - Update menu items, pricing, and content - Manage locations - View orders and subscriptions - Manage blog/news posts ## What We'd Like From Developers 1. Recommended platform/tech stack (e.g., Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, custom build, headless commerce) and why it fits these requirements — particularly the Square integration and multi-location needs. 2. Confirmation of experience integrating with Square's API. 3. Confirmation of experience with GA4/GTM e-commerce tracking. 4. Approach to subscription billing (e.g., third-party subscription tool vs. built-in). 5. Timeline and cost estimate, broken out by phase if possible (e.g., core store, multi-location, catering, subscriptions). 6. Examples of similar past projects (multi-location restaurant/retail sites, Square integrations, or subscription commerce). 7. Post-launch support/maintenance terms. --- ## Notes for Vendor Selection - Ask each candidate how they'd handle keeping Square and the website in sync (source of truth for inventory/pricing). - Ask how new locations get added after launch, and what that costs/takes. - Ask about hosting, ongoing maintenance costs, and who owns the codebase/CMS.
