Full Time Video Editor and Clipper

Job Title: Podcast Video Editor — Long-Form Episodes + Daily Short-Form Clips (Ongoing, Monthly) Summary: We're looking for a reliable video editor to handle post-production for "Suffering from Success," a business/entrepreneurship interview podcast based in Baton Rouge, LA. This is an ongoing monthly role, not a one-off project. Scope of Work (Monthly): 4 long-form episode edits (each ~45–60 minutes, guest interview format, shot on multi-cam in-studio) 1 short-form vertical clip per day (~30/month), pulled from episodes, formatted for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts Captions burned in on all short-form clips Clean, complete on-screen hook text per clip (not auto-caption freeze-frames — a real chosen hook line) Long-Form Episode Deliverables: Clean audio (noise reduction, leveling across multiple speakers) Multi-cam sync and cutting Intro/outro integration (we provide the script/audio) Captions/subtitles Export for YouTube in landscape Short-Form Clip Deliverables: Vertical 9:16 format Captions with keyword highlighting (we'll provide our color codes) A strong, standalone hook as the on-screen thumbnail text — not a mid-sentence caption cutoff Playback speed set to 1.1x Delivered ready to post (no further editing needed on our end) Style Reference: Studio setting: burgundy leather armchairs, wood-slat accent wall Tone: casual, real, no-hype — direct interviews with local business owners We'll provide 2–3 example episodes/clips already published as a style reference What We're Looking For: Experience editing interview/guest-format podcast video Comfortable with multi-cam and multi-track audio Strong instinct for pulling the most compelling, curiosity-driving moments for short-form Reliable weekly/monthly turnaround — this is a recurring role, not project-by-project Portfolio showing both long-form podcast edits and short-form vertical clips Turnaround: Long-form episodes: 3–5 business days from raw file delivery Short-form clips: able to keep pace with a daily posting schedule Budget: $600–$1,000/month, depending on experience — open to discussing per-episode vs. flat monthly rate.
