Full-Time Video Editor for YouTube Channel
Only freelancers located in the U.S. may apply.U.S. located freelancers only
We run a YouTube channel with over 70,000 subscribers where we interview coin experts, historians, and scientists to explore the world of high-end antique collectibles and the history behind them. We're looking for a skilled, full-time Premiere Pro editor to join our team long-term and become our go-to editor for every episode we publish. Each week you'll edit 2 long-form interview videos, roughly 10-20 minutes each, pulled from raw interview footage. This is a narrative documentary-style edit, not just a straight cut — pacing, structure, and visual support all matter. The single most important skill for this role is what we call "numismatic accuracy": when our guest is describing a specific coin, medal, or artifact, that exact object needs to be shown on screen at that exact moment. If they're describing a 1794 Flowing Hair dollar's edge lettering, we need a shot or image of that specific coin's edge on screen while they say it — not a generic stock coin, not the wrong angle, not the wrong item. You'll be working from a mix of B-roll we provide, high-resolution coin photography, and archival images, and you need to be meticulous about matching what's said to what's shown. Editors who treat this as an afterthought will not be a fit for this role. What you'll be doing: Editing 2 interview-style videos per week (10-20 min finished runtime each) in Premiere Pro Syncing multi-cam or single-cam interview footage with cutaways, B-roll, and coin/artifact imagery Precisely timing coin/artifact visuals to match verbal descriptions (numismatic accuracy is non-negotiable) Basic color correction and audio cleanup/leveling Adding lower thirds, captions/subtitles, and simple motion graphics using our existing templates Structuring pacing to keep long-form interview content engaging throughout Incorporating feedback rounds efficiently and hitting weekly delivery deadlines Requirements: Strong, demonstrable experience editing long-form interview or documentary-style YouTube content in Adobe Premiere Pro A portfolio or reel showing narrative pacing, not just quick-cut/short-form work Meticulous attention to detail — comfortable researching or following notes to match specific visuals to specific spoken references Comfortable with a full-time, recurring weekly workload (this is an ongoing role, not a one-off project) Reliable communication and ability to meet consistent weekly deadlines Experience with captions/subtitles, basic color correction, and audio cleanup Nice to have: interest in coins, antiques, history, or collectibles (helps you catch on to what matters in a shot faster) Budget: Fixed weekly rate, based on 2 finished 10-20 minute videos per week. Please include your proposed weekly rate in your application along with your typical turnaround time per video. To apply, please include: A link to your portfolio/reel, ideally with at least one long-form interview or documentary-style edit Your experience level with Premiere Pro (years, notable channels/clients if applicable) Your proposed weekly rate for 2x 10-20 minute videos A short note on how you'd approach matching visuals to specific spoken details in an interview (this is the core skill we're hiring for) We're looking to build a long-term working relationship, not a short-term gig — if you're great at this, there's steady, ongoing weekly work here.
