Summary

We are seeking an experienced Autodesk Fusion 360 and CAM instructor to deliver practical, beginner-friendly training for a manufacturing and fabrication team. Project Overview Our company is expanding, and we want to standardize design and manufacturing workflows across our engineering, product development, and fabrication teams. The participants will be starting with little or no Fusion 360 experience. The goal is to help them confidently work within a shared system where they can: Import and review existing product and part files Understand and modify designs Create basic parts and manufacturing-ready models Collaborate and iterate across engineering and fabrication teams Understand fundamental CAM workflows Prepare designs for machining and fabrication Develop skills aligned with the Autodesk Certified User (ACU) level The training should be hands-on and focused on realistic manufacturing and product-development use cases. Training Details Location: Mountain View, California The final format is still being determined. Training may take place at the client’s facility or in a local classroom. Timing: Within the next couple of months, based on instructor and client availability Participants: Approximately 3–8 employees Experience level: Beginner; participants will be starting from square one Expected Training Topics The selected instructor should be comfortable teaching: Fusion 360 interface and navigation File management and shared project workflows Sketching and design constraints Parametric modeling fundamentals Creating and modifying components and assemblies Importing, reviewing, and repairing existing CAD files Design changes and revision workflows Manufacturing considerations and design-for-manufacturing principles Introduction to Fusion 360 Manufacturing workspace Basic CAM setup Tool selection and tool libraries 2D milling and common machining operations Work coordinate systems, stock setup, feeds, and speeds Toolpath simulation and verification Exporting manufacturing files and documentation ACU exam objectives and recommended next steps Scope of Work The engagement will include: One client alignment and discovery meeting Review and customization of training materials Preparation of practical exercises relevant to the client’s manufacturing workflow Instructor-led Fusion 360 and introductory CAM training Recommendations for continued learning and ACU preparation Compensation Daily rate: $1,200 per day Total fixed compensation: $3,600 The total compensation covers the client alignment meeting, material preparation and customization, and training delivery. Reasonable local travel expenses, including gas, Uber, and parking, will be reimbursed when necessary and approved in advance. Ideal Instructor We are looking for someone who has: Strong professional experience using Autodesk Fusion 360 Practical CAM and manufacturing experience Experience teaching complete beginners The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently Experience with CNC machining, fabrication, product development, or manufacturing engineering Experience preparing learners for Autodesk certification Availability to deliver in-person training in or near Mountain View, California Autodesk certification, including Fusion 360 certification, is strongly preferred.
