GeneratePress/GenerateBlocks Designer for Business News Platform (Immediate Start)

We are an expanding business and economic news platform broadening our coverage across the wider subcontinent. Our readers expect a clean, fast, and authoritative reading environment similar to top-tier global financial publications. We are transitioning our design to project a cosmopolitan, high-attention reading aesthetic and need an experienced designer/developer to help bring our draft templates to maturity. Current State of the Project This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced build. You are stepping into an active project with a clear direction: • The Foundation: WordPress architecture, structural SEO, counters, and basic layout concepts are already determined • Custom Fields: We have already registered the native WordPress custom fields required to display and sort our content • Progress: The homepage structural draft is underway. Draft typography and global colours are established. We hold active licenses for GeneratePress Premium and GenerateBlocks Pro Immediate Deliverables & Timeline We are on an extremely tight schedule and require someone who can start within the next 24 hours. • 48-Hour Target (by Saturday): • Homepage: Achieve at least 75% completion on the layout, typography implementation, and complex Grid/Flexbox structures. • Archive Template: Achieve at least 50% completion on one primary category/archive template (we will work together on this part). • Design System: Finalise and apply our draft global colour palette and typography settings within GenerateBlocks Global Styles. Technical Requirements We run a zero-bloat, performance-focused environment: • Latest GenerateBlocks Version: You must be completely proficient with the latest version of GenerateBlocks Pro (v2.x). You should naturally build layouts using raw Flexbox and CSS Grid directly on Container blocks without relying on legacy wrappers. • Theme Framework: High proficiency with GeneratePress Premium (Hooks, Elements, Patterns, Display Rules). • No Heavy Page Builders: Absolutely no Elementor, Divi, or third-party builder plugins; you will only work with GenerateBlocks Pro • Native Custom Fields: Experience binding native core WordPress custom fields to dynamic query blocks (no ACF or heavy meta plugins). If your UI/UX and GenerateBlocks skills are exceptional, guidance can be provided on our custom field setup (we can also handle setting up additional custom fields).
