Grafana (Part-Time, Remote)

We're looking into the observability space and want to understand in detail how engineering teams work. What you'll do (5–10 hrs/week to start): Showing us your real workflows in Grafana: how you build a dashboard from a raw data source, triage a firing alert back to a healthy service, take a query from Explore into a panel that someone else can actually read, and move dashboards and alert rules through a review process into production. And answering questions along the way: why this panel, what's the shortcut, where do people go wrong? If you use Grafana regularly and can talk through your process clearly, you're exactly who we're looking for. No prep needed, just your day-to-day expertise. Who you are (any of these backgrounds fits): - Observability / Platform Engineer: you own the Grafana stack, data sources, dashboard standards, and the alerting rules built on top of them. - SRE / Incident Responder: you live in Grafana during incidents, know which dashboard to open first, and keep alert noise from burying the signal. Must-have: 5+ years of hands-on, near-daily use of Grafana (not just Datadog or New Relic); fluency with dashboard and panel authoring, template variables, at least one major data source (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Elasticsearch, or SQL), Grafana Alerting including notification policies and contact points, and folders/teams/permissions; able to articulate why you do what you do, not just drag panels around until it looks right. Nice-to-have: experience across more than one of the profiles above; dashboards or alerts managed as code (provisioning, Terraform, Grizzly); Grafana Cloud and self-hosted OSS/Enterprise; migrations or integrations touching Grafana (Datadog, Splunk, PagerDuty, OnCall, k6) or admin of a large multi-team org.
