Grant Writer & Funding Specialist for Small Construction Company We are a growing construction, handyman, and landscaping company based in South Florida, and we are looking for an experienced Grant Writer / Small Business Funding Specialist to help us identify and secure funding opportunities. Our primary goal is to obtain working capital to support and expand our business operations, including equipment, tools, marketing, hiring/subcontractor expenses, and general business growth. Responsibilities: - Research grants and funding programs that our company is actually eligible for. - Identify federal, state, county, city, private, and corporate grant opportunities. - Focus particularly on opportunities available to small businesses in Florida and South Florida. - Prepare and submit professional grant applications. - Help organize the documentation required for applications. - Identify additional non-dilutive or low-cost funding programs when appropriate. - Create a funding strategy and application timeline. - Track submitted applications, deadlines, and follow-ups. Ideal Candidate: - Proven experience with small business grant writing. - Experience helping for-profit businesses obtain funding. - Knowledge of Florida and U.S. small business funding programs is preferred. - Strong research and writing skills. - Able to explain which opportunities are realistic and which ones are not worth pursuing. - Experience with construction, landscaping, home services, or contractor businesses is a plus.
