Supported Living Accommodation | Flexible / Remote | Consultancy Basis About the Role We are seeking an experienced Grants and Funding Consultant to support the growth and development of our supported living accommodation provision for adults with disabilities. Our aim is to provide safe, high-quality, accessible homes that promote independence, dignity, wellbeing and positive outcomes for residents. The consultant will identify suitable funding opportunities and lead the development of strong, well-evidenced grant applications to help fund property improvements, accessibility adaptations, specialist equipment and wider service development. This is a flexible consultancy opportunity and can be delivered remotely, with occasional meetings as required. Key Responsibilities Research, identify and assess relevant UK grants, charitable trusts, foundations and public-sector funding opportunities. Advise on eligibility, likely success rates and the most suitable funding strategy. Develop a funding pipeline and maintain a clear tracker of opportunities, deadlines and application requirements. Write compelling, high-quality grant and funding applications. Gather and shape supporting information, including budgets, project plans, case studies, evidence of need and expected outcomes. Work with internal stakeholders to develop clear proposals for accessible accommodation, disability support, property adaptations and resident wellbeing. Ensure applications clearly demonstrate social impact, value for money, sustainability and measurable outcomes. Support the submission process and manage application deadlines. Liaise with funders where necessary and respond to follow-up queries. Support with monitoring, reporting and compliance requirements for successful funding awards. Provide guidance on future funding opportunities and long-term funding strategy. Projects May Include Wheelchair-accessible adaptations and wet rooms Specialist kitchens, sensory features and assistive technology Fire safety, security and resident safety improvements Energy-efficiency upgrades and reducing running costs Furniture, white goods and equipment for supported living homes Garden, outdoor-accessibility and wellbeing improvements Expansion or development of new supported living accommodation Person Specification Essential Proven experience identifying and securing grants or external funding. Strong grant-writing and bid-writing skills, with the ability to turn project information into persuasive applications. Experience working with grants, charitable trusts, foundations, local authorities or public funding bodies. Ability to develop budgets, funding proposals, outcome measures and impact statements. Excellent written communication and attention to detail. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work independently and provide clear, practical advice. Desirable Experience within supported living, disability services, adult social care, housing, charities, community services or property adaptation projects. Understanding of accessibility standards and the needs of disabled residents. Knowledge of UK funding streams relating to disability, health and wellbeing, housing, community development, energy efficiency or social impact. A network of relevant funders, trusts or funding bodies. Experience with post-award monitoring and reporting.
