Graphic/Print Designer for Workshop Card Deck & Supporting Materials — In-Person and Virtual Use

Description I am looking for an experienced graphic/print designer to help design a professional project assessment card deck and related workshop materials. This is a companion product to an existing project-management book about the major causes of project failure. The content and methodology are already developed. I need a designer to turn the material into a polished, cohesive, professional product that can be used by project managers, consultants, facilitators, and business teams. This is a short-term, phased design project. I am not looking for someone to develop the project-management content or methodology. I am looking for a designer who can create a strong visual system, card layouts, print-ready files, and supporting workshop materials. I may begin with Phase 1 only as the initial contract—creative direction, card-front/card-back concepts, sample design direction, and preliminary box direction—before deciding whether to continue into full production. Project Overview The core product is a 50-card professional assessment deck: • 10 project root causes • 5 cards per root cause • consistent card structure and visual system • professional, modern, clean, minimalist design • suitable for corporate workshops and facilitated team discussions The deck will also have supporting materials, including a compact facilitator guide, optional downloadable/printable team worksheets, team report-out pages, a digital/virtual-use PDF package, box artwork, and selected product/marketing images. Teams should be able to capture notes using whatever works best for the session, including a whiteboard, flip charts, sticky notes, their own paper, or the optional structured worksheets. The facilitation system should support two primary workshop formats: a Targeted Project Assessment for one project team or small breakout group assessing one to three relevant root causes, and a Full-Deck Root Cause Deep Dive for larger workshops where breakout groups assess all 10 root causes. The digital PDF package will also need to support simple license treatment, including a subtle personalized footer on each digital card/page and a short license-terms page. The product may be sold as either an individual facilitator license, for one named facilitator who may use the deck with participants during that facilitator's workshops, or as an organization license, which allows internal sharing and use within the purchasing organization. The digital deck should not be transferable to another facilitator outside the applicable license. A detailed project brief is available and will be shared with qualified candidates after an initial response. What I Need Designed The project may include: • 2–3 initial visual concepts for the card-front design • final card-front and card-back templates • full 50-card deck layout • visual system for 10 root-cause categories • icon/color/typography system • compact facilitator guide • optional downloadable/printable team worksheets for structured assessment capture • team summary/report-out pages • navigable digital PDF package for virtual facilitation • physical box artwork using printer specifications • product/marketing images for website or e-commerce use • print-ready production files and editable source files The project should be handled in phases so the design direction is approved before full production begins. The full project is described here so candidates can understand the overall scope, but the first Upwork milestone may be limited to Phase 1 before I commit to Phases 2 and 3.
