Graphic design templates for make-up advertisement campaign

Summary

Before I get into the project, there is one very important requirement I want to make clear: no AI can be used in the creation of these designs. The company I am creating this campaign for is strongly against AI-generated creative work, so I want to be completely transparent about that from the beginning. I’m currently developing a mock marketing campaign for NOT Beauty by SZA that will be used to promote my commercial advertisements. The larger campaign is centered around five different models, with each model representing a completely different “world.” Their clothing, expressions, environments, colors, and overall styling will create the identity of each world. Each month will have its own visual language and set of templates, while still feeling connected to the overall campaign. For now, I would specifically love to focus on the September campaign, and then we can discuss the following models/themes as we move forward. For September, I’m working with two main creative elements: a local San Antonio business, The Plant Shoppe, where we photographed, and the brand model, who is wearing NOT Beauty throughout the campaign. Her styling is very streetwear/alternative, she has pink cotton-candy-colored hair, and the shoot incorporates a lot of greenery from the plant shop. The visual direction immediately made me think of a nostalgic, early-2003 version of Strawberry Shortcake. Since the lip gloss she is highlighting is a strawberry-jelly shade, I want to build that nostalgia into the entire month through strawberries, pinks, greens, whites, playful elements, and other details that feel whimsical without becoming overly childish or visually overwhelming. I also have some visual references that I can send you so you can better understand the direction. There will be 15 templates for September, which will be used across Instagram and TikTok over the course of the month. Some templates will feature the model’s photography directly, while others will be designed to communicate information about the model, the lip gloss, and The Plant Shoppe even when the model isn’t present in the image. I also have four lip glosses that will be incorporated into the campaign, with the content divided into specific groups. I’ll provide a detailed list of the deliverables and exactly what I’m looking for when I send everything over. The overall goal is twofold: I want to create a strong mock campaign that demonstrates how I would market to a major beauty company, while also creating a love letter to San Antonio and highlighting the local businesses, models, photographers, and other creatives who helped bring the project together. I know the timeline is fairly tight. I originally had a graphic designer booked almost two months in advance, but unfortunately, she dropped out last week, so I’ve been scrambling to find someone who can help me bring this part of the campaign together because the graphics are extremely important to the overall marketing strategy. Ideally, I would love to have the deliverables completed by August 24. However, I completely understand that is a quick turnaround, especially considering the amount of creative work involved. If you need until August 27, I can absolutely work with that. I’m not scheduled to receive some of my behind-the-scenes materials until August 26 anyway, and I don’t officially begin posting the campaign until September 1, so I have some flexibility. I would love to get on a Zoom call, phone call, whenever you have a chance so I can walk you through the campaign, introduce you to the creative direction for the model and The Plant Shoppe, and show you exactly what I’m envisioning. I’d also love to hear your creative thoughts because I’m looking for something whimsical, nostalgic, polished, and professionally marketable without feeling overdesigned.
