Graphic designer with art/fashion background
Worldwide
We are a US based conscious luxury handbags brand. We're looking for a versatile, hands-on graphic designer to be our ongoing go-to for miscellaneous design work, on an as-needed hourly basis. Volume varies week to week; some weeks a few hours, others more. You'll work directly with the founder / creative director, with clear briefs and full reference materials (brand guidelines, an Instagram design standard, and an established asset library). First Project (Paid Trial) Our immediate need is reworking a packaging label. The previous designer delivered flattened, uneditable files, so the artwork must be rebuilt from scratch as clean, fully editable vector source files (Illustrator), then revised and prepared as print-ready output (dieline, bleed, CMYK, vendor specs). This will serve as the trial project before we settle into the ongoing arrangement. Ongoing Scope Packaging & print: labels, note cards, tissue paper, boxes, and inserts, covering design, revisions, and print-ready file preparation Social media: editing and adapting post designs to our established Instagram / TikTok / Pinterest design standards; creating templates and one-off graphics Photo editing: retouching and color-grading product and campaign imagery to a luxury standard Video: short-form edits (Reels / TikTok), assembling new edits from raw footage and making revisions to existing videos Occasional misc.: presentation slides, email/web graphics, product mockups Must-Haves Expert in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro / After Effects (or CapCut for short-form) Proficient in Figma: part of our design work lives there, so you must work fluently within existing files, components, and shared libraries Print production knowledge: dielines, bleed, CMYK, packaging specs, and preparing final files for print vendors Proven ability to rebuild artwork from flattened or uneditable files A refined eye: experience with luxury fashion, beauty, or premium lifestyle brands, OR a fine art / formal design education background Disciplined file delivery: layered, organized, fully editable source files with every handoff Fluent English and responsive communication; comfortable working async with a US-based team (Central Time) Nice to Have Motion graphics / subtle animation Experience with handbags, leather goods, or accessories brands Photography or art-direction sensibility Engagement Details Ongoing hourly contract via Upwork; as-needed volume, some weeks I may need 10 hours, while some others negligible. Fully remote; timezone flexible, with some overlap for feedback rounds in the CST time zone. Two revision rounds standard per piece; creative direction and final approval sit with us All work is work-for-hire; source files and usage rights transfer to Linearity on payment. You will have to sign NDAs with us on top of Upwork's contract.
