YouTube Documentary Editor (Historsea Channel) I'm looking for an experienced documentary-style YouTube editor to join my team. The videos are history documentaries focused on maritime history, famous ships, engineering, exploration, naval battles, shipwrecks, and historical events. I provide: A completed script A professionally recorded green screen talking-head video Voiceover (when applicable) Thumbnail direction You create the finished documentary. Your responsibilities include: Removing the green screen and creating an engaging visual background. Finding high-quality royalty-free images and video clips that accurately match the narration. Creating simple animations using still images (Ken Burns effects, parallax, motion graphics, maps, timelines, labels, etc.). Adding historical diagrams, illustrations, and archival material where appropriate. Creating simple 2D animations that help explain concepts. Using AI-generated artwork when appropriate (and legally permissible) to illustrate scenes where no historical imagery exists. Adding sound effects, ambience, and background music that enhance the story without distracting from it. Maintaining a fast-paced documentary style that keeps viewers engaged throughout the video. I'm not looking for flashy edits, memes, or social-media-style effects. I'm looking for videos that feel similar to channels such as: Real Engineering Mustard History Hit Kings and Generals Wendover Productions The goal is to keep viewers engaged through excellent storytelling and visuals. Requirements: Experience editing documentary or educational YouTube content. Strong motion graphics skills (After Effects or equivalent). Ability to source royalty-free visuals and understand copyright requirements. Excellent storytelling instincts and pacing. Good English comprehension. Please include: Links to your best documentary-style edits. Your typical turnaround time for a 15 to 20 minute YouTube documentary. Your rate per completed video. The software you edit with. This will begin as a paid trial project, with the potential for long-term work producing multiple documentaries each month.
