Head of Software Engineering (Remote - Nigeria) | AI-First HR SaaS

Talpro Software (Xceed365HR) is hiring the engineering leader who will run our delivery. We build Xceed365HR - an HR platform used across Nigeria and Kenya - and we're rebuilding it as an AI-first, agentic product. We have strong engineers and real momentum. What we need now is a leader who brings structure, accountability and a repeatable way of shipping. This is that role. You'll be the single point of accountability to our COO for what ships, when, and to what standard - across database, API, DevOps and frontend. And you'll own the way we build now: turning Claude-built prototypes into finished, production-grade products through a disciplined team. What you'll own • End-to-end delivery across two squads and our shared guilds (AI/Agent Engineering, Data & Analytics, DevOps/Platform-ops). • A real delivery operating system — clear ownership per product line, definition-of-done, review standards, release gates, and KPIs that make delivery visible. • Our prototype-to-production pipeline: leading teams to convert Claude prototypes into shipped software using Claude Code and our in-house model gateway. • Technical oversight of every layer - PostgreSQL (incl. multi-region residency), .NET Core 9 APIs, CI/CD & cloud, and Angular/modern frontend. • Growing the team: closing the full-stack skill gap and building strong in-house succession. What we're looking for • Demonstrable experience managing 20+ developers. You've led at this scale and can prove it. • Full-stack hands-on depth - SQL/PostgreSQL, .NET (C#/.NET Core), API design, DevOps (CI/CD, cloud), and a modern frontend framework. • Expert, practical use of Claude to prototype and to lead a team in turning prototypes into finished products. • A track record of installing structure and accountability in a team that lacked it. • 10+ years in software engineering, 5+ leading teams.
