Worldwide
Licensing & Credentialing Specialist (Remote — International) Wasef Health · Full-Time Employee (via Employer of Record) · Fully Remote Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Eastern Time Compensation: $12 – $17 USD/hour (approx. $2,000 – $3,000/month at full-time), commensurate with experience · Paid Time Off · Paid Holidays · Full statutory benefits About Wasef Health Wasef Health is a physician-led national telehealth medical group based in the United States. We provide the licensed clinical workforce — physicians and nurse practitioners — behind a range of telehealth companies, delivering safe, compliant care to patients across all 50 states. Founded and led by practicing physicians, we hold licensure in every U.S. state and are scaling our provider network to meet growing demand across multiple clinical service lines. The Role We're hiring a Licensing & Credentialing Specialist to help maintain the integrity of our provider licensing across all 50 U.S. states. You'll work alongside our US-based credentialing team and report to our Credentialing & Onboarding Manager. This is a detail-obsessed, research-heavy role for someone who knows the difference between confirming a license is active and confirming a provider is actually authorized to practice the way they say they are. This is not a data-entry seat — the accuracy of your work directly determines whether our providers can legally see patients. You'll be engaged as a full-time employee through our Employer of Record, with local statutory benefits, paid time off, and paid holidays. What You'll Do Collect all license information for every provider — physicians and nurse practitioners — across all 50 states, and keep it organized and complete - Obtain primary source verification (PSV) for each license, using our credentialing platform where automated verification is available and going directly to state board portals when it isn't - Keep every license current — track renewals, expirations, and status changes so nothing lapses on your watch - Research and determine nurse practitioner practice authority (FPA) — use public sources (state nurse practice acts and board rules) to determine whether each NP holds full practice authority or requires a collaborative/supervisory arrangement in a given state. Where a state gates independence on accumulated practice hours, collect and verify the supporting documentation (hour attestations, employment verification, prior collaborative agreements). Build a clear, sourced record behind every determination. - Run and monitor NPDB queries across applicable states; flag and escalate anything reported Track prescriptive authority, DEA, and state controlled-substance registrations as separate line items - Monitor exclusion databases (OIG LEIE, SAM) and keep provider records audit-ready at all times What We're Looking For Required - Experience with provider credentialing or licensing verification, with real multi-state volume (tell us how many states and licenses you've handled) - Familiarity with NPDB, NPPES, Nursys, and US state licensing board portals - The ability to read a US state nurse practice act or board rule and correctly determine scope of practice — not just repeat a summary - Excellent written and spoken English - Exceptional attention to detail and the discipline to manage dozens of moving deadlines without dropping one - Willingness to work US Eastern Time hours - Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote work setup Preferred - Direct experience in the US healthcare or telehealth space - Experience with Modio/OneView or a comparable credentialing platform (Verifiable, Medallion, symplr, MD-Staff) - Experience supporting locum tenens or telehealth provider licensing - A clinical or nursing background Schedule, Location & Compensation Location: Fully remote, international Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Eastern Time Compensation: $12 – $17 USD/hour (approximately $2,000 – $3,000/month at full-time), based on experience Employment: Full-time How to Apply - Submit your resume along with a short note telling us two things: 1. The number of states you've handled provider licensing for 2. One example of a licensing or credentialing issue you caught that someone else might have missed
