Healthcare Operations Consultant – Utilization Management (UM) Infrastructure & Process Improvement

Ideal Background Strong candidates may have experience as a: * Healthcare Operations Consultant * Utilization Management Consultant * Healthcare Management Consultant * Director/Manager of Utilization Management * Clinical Operations Leader * Care Management Operations Leader * Healthcare Process Improvement Consultant * Lean/Performance Improvement professional with healthcare experience Experience working within a large health system, hospital, medical group, managed-care organization, or health plan is strongly preferred. Clinical experience (RN, case management, utilization management, etc.) is helpful but not required if the candidate has substantial healthcare operations expertise. Initial Engagement We anticipate beginning with an approximately 20-hour initial engagement focused on: 1. Understanding the current state 2. Identifying operational and management infrastructure gaps 3. Prioritizing areas requiring standardization 4. Developing initial tools/processes 5. Creating a recommended roadmap for continued implementation There may be an opportunity for additional work depending on the results of the initial engagement. Deliverables Initial deliverables may include: * Current-state/gap assessment * Prioritized recommendations * UM management infrastructure framework * Selected SOPs/workflows/tools * Manager accountability/standard-work structure * Recommended operational cadence * Implementation roadmap
