IRS representation

I have a client who filed a personal federal income tax return late. The underlying tax liability has been paid, but the IRS has assessed substantial penalties and interest. This engagement is to: * Review the IRS notice and relevant tax return/account information * Assess the likelihood of obtaining penalty and/or interest abatement * Recommend the best available relief strategy, including reasonable-cause relief if appropriate * Represent the client before the IRS in pursuing that relief The provider **must be an Enrolled Agent** with meaningful experience in IRS representation, penalty abatement, and individual income tax matters.
