Independent Principal Rust / Fintech Systems Engineer

Join our team as an Independent Principal Rust / Fintech Systems Engineer to enhance our cryptocurrency exchange architecture. You'll review and improve existing code, ensuring high performance and security. Collaborate with our team to identify and address technical challenges, and contribute to the development of our platform. This role requires expertise in Rust and fintech systems engineering, with a focus on code review and architecture optimization. Review five areas: Rust/exchange core: matcher, sequencer, risk, deterministic replay, concurrency and invariants. Financial core: double-entry ledger, reservations, partial fills, fees, execution idempotency and reconciliation. PostgreSQL: SERIALIZABLE transactions, double-spend prevention, transactional inbox/outbox, fencing, WAL/PITR and failover. Distributed infrastructure: NATS JetStream, at-least-once delivery, poison events, backpressure and recovery. Security/operations: database roles, TLS, secrets, auditability, failure modes and production-readiness gaps.
