India-Based Cosmetic Regulatory Consultant for Toilet Soap Claims Review

Only consultants with direct experience in Indian cosmetic and toilet soap regulations should apply. We are preparing to launch Rrahat, a uniquely shaped toilet soap in India, and are looking for an experienced India-based cosmetic regulatory consultant to provide a clear written opinion on our proposed packaging claims. The following are planned to be displayed prominently on the packaging: Key ingredients: 1.Epsom Salt 2.Magnesium Chloride 3.Eucalyptus Oil 4.Wintergreen Oil Other claims: 1.100% Vegan 2.Dermatologically Tested 3.No Sulphates 4.No Silicones 5.No Parabens We also intend to use the claim “Recommended by Physiotherapists,” supported by signed recommendation declarations from 10 practising physiotherapists who have reviewed and used the product. Scope of Work The consultant will review the formulation, proposed packaging communication and available supporting documents and provide a firm written regulatory opinion on: 1) Whether “Relief” can be used as the main product claim while the product remains classified and sold as a toilet soap. 2) If “Relief” cannot be used, whether the following positioning is permissible: RRAHAT Massage Bar Relaxation | Soreness | Stiffness 3) Whether the four key ingredients can be highlighted prominently alongside the proposed claims. 4) Whether “Recommended by Physiotherapists” can be used based on the 10 signed declarations and whether any qualifier or disclaimer is required. 5) Whether the other proposed claims—such as “Dermatologically Tested” and “100% Vegan”—require any specific reports, certificates or wording. 6) Whether any proposed wording could make the product appear medicinal, therapeutic or affect its classification under the toilet soap category. Required Deliverable A clear written opinion stating: 1) Claims that can be used; 2) Claims that cannot be used; 3) The exact recommended wording for the front of the pack; 4) Any disclaimer or qualification required; 5) Supporting documents or tests required for each claim; and 6) Any regulatory risk or product-classification concern. We are not looking for a general discussion or an initial consultation only. The final deliverable must be a specific and actionable written regulatory opinion that can be shared with our packaging and manufacturing teams.
