Industrial Designer Needed – Turn Figma 2D Wireframe into CAD + 3D Model & Renders

We’re developing a compact rugged handheld communication device for outdoor/off-grid use. We already have a complete 2D wireframe in Figma with all measurements and details locked in. We need an experienced industrial designer to turn this into a proper CAD file, build the 3D model, and deliver high-quality renders. Project Context: Retro-tech aesthetic multi-radio handheld device (think modern walkie-talkie meets digital keychain) Rugged design for outdoor enthusiasts, preppers, and off-grid users Currently in MVP phase preparing for crowdfunding 2D wireframe (Figma) with full measurements is already finished — the heavy lifting on layout is done Scope of Work (2-4 hours): Convert the existing Figma 2D wireframe (with all measurements) into a production-ready CAD model Build a clean, accurate 3D model from the CAD data Produce photorealistic 3D renders Light refinements only if needed for manufacturability or ergonomics (the design direction is already set) Device Requirements to Consider: Compact form factor (pocket-sized) Multiple radio components (LoRa mesh, Bluetooth/WiFi, NFC, GPS) Barcode/QR scanner integration Push-to-talk button prominence Rugged/outdoor aesthetic Battery access panel Antenna integration Deliverables: CAD file (native + STEP) 3D model files (STL / other common formats) High-quality photorealistic renders Required Experience: Proven experience with consumer electronics industrial design Portfolio showing handheld/portable device designs Experience with ruggedized/outdoor products preferred Knowledge of injection molding requirements Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Shaper3D, Blender, Rhino, KeyShot, or similar 3D/CAD software This is a focused, short engagement. The 2D foundation is already complete, so we mainly need clean CAD conversion + 3D modeling + renders. If the collaboration goes well, there may be opportunities for additional work on the companion device (base station) and future iterations.
