We are looking for an experienced industrial electrical construction estimator to independently re-estimate an existing project. This is a one-time fixed-price assignment. The purpose is to obtain an independent professional estimate that we can compare against an internal estimate already prepared for the project. The project consists of electrical rehabilitation work at multiple municipal lift stations in Florida and includes demolition, conduit, wiring, grounding, disconnects, metering, equipment connections, and associated industrial electrical installation. Deliverables We need the estimator to review the complete bid documents and provide: Detailed electrical material takeoff Material quantities Estimated total material cost Estimated total labor hours Labor-hour breakdown by major scope or category Major equipment and purchased components Assumptions and exclusions Identification of any major scope items, ambiguities, or bid risks We are primarily interested in determining the realistic labor hours and material cost required to perform the work. We are not looking for electrical design or engineering services. Required Experience Applicants should have direct experience estimating industrial electrical construction for an electrical contractor. Strong preference will be given to estimators with experience in: Municipal water/wastewater projects Lift stations and pump stations Industrial electrical rehabilitation Electrical demolition Underground conduit and raceway Motor and equipment connections NEC-based industrial installations Projects in Florida or the Southeast U.S. Residential-only or light commercial estimating experience is not sufficient. Important This must be an independent estimate developed directly from the construction drawings and specifications. Our existing estimate will not be provided until after your estimate is complete. We also need the estimating worksheet or takeoff documentation used to develop your final numbers. A single lump-sum price without supporting quantities and labor hours will not be sufficient. When Applying Please provide: Your experience estimating industrial electrical projects. Whether you have worked directly for an electrical contractor. Examples of similar water/wastewater, lift station, or industrial projects you have estimated. The estimating/takeoff software you use. Your proposed fixed price for completing this estimate.
